Weekly Quote

"You will experience great joy in life as you eradicate adult-onset pessimism and substitute childlike optimism."
-Elder Perkins

Here is to a new year of being more optimistic and more like my amazing children. They teach me everyday about how to be better.

The Holidays

Image

Madilyn & Rachel are pictured here helping us make gingerbread houses. Our gingerbread house is pictured below. I thought Matt & I did a good job but I think Rachel & Madilyn won.

To the left is Matt doing his first BBQ with no adult supervision. We went up to Eden before Thanksgiving and had a "sleepover" with Michelle & Joe. It was fun being able to get away for a little while.
The Christmas pictures are when we went to the temple to do some sealings and see the lights. Oddily enough I received intel that my cousin's baby came the day I wanted my baby to come. However, the good news is that I had a ton of temple workers stop me and tell me that I was the "cutest thing they have ever seen in the temple." I guess many pregnant women don't go to the temple.

TAG...Your it!!
This is a tag that I think everyone should do... It is so fun to remember how you and the love of your life came to be.

1.Where did you meet? I met Matt in my dorm hall at BYU Freshman year. He was playing cards with my roommates and I had just got back from going to a friend farewell in Bountiful.

2.What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? Cute, shy....perfect kind of kid to play with :).

3.Do you remember what he/she was wearing? No idea but I remember what I was wearing. I was embarrassed because I walked in and there were all these boys and I didn't have a cute outfit on.

4.Where was the first time you kissed this person? Matt and I kissed for the first time walking back from our first "official" date. It happened in front of the Delta Center in the freezing cold.

5.Where did you go for your first date? First official date was to a laser show and art museum in salt lake. We went on numerous unofficial dates before though...I think the first one was when went to the movie, Glory Road.

6. When were you officially a couple? We were officially a couple a few days after Valentine's Day. We spent Valentine's Day at the library...doing what I do best...studying... and then that weekend we held hands and "talked" about "us."

7.How did he/she ask you out? He just asked in person...probably on our way to the Law Library.

8.Has this person ever proposed to you? Heck YES! He sang and played his guitar for me when he proposed.

9.Do you and this person have kids together? In a few months we will have a baby boy!

10.Have you ever broken the law with this person? I don't think so...

11.When was the first time you realized that you liked this person? When I realized that he liked my roommate. You always want what you can't have.

12.Do you get along with his family? Yes, he has many sisters and a mom who are always willing to help me out with anything. His dad makes me laugh hysterically! I love all his brother-in-laws and his brother Ben and wife Celia.

13.Do you trust this person? Absolutely.

14.Do you see him as your partner in your future? He will be my only partner...I couldn't live without him.

15.What is the best gift he gave you? Happiness wrapped in a little box...my wedding ring.

16.What is one thing He does that gets on your nerves? When he doesn't listen to me. He can't focus on more than one thing at a time. He can only watch TV, read, surf the web, or something like that and can't talk to me at the same time.

17.Where do you see each other 15 years from now? Living in Colorado with 5 kids.

18.What causes the most arguments? Just miscommunication. It happens all the time because I'm pregnant and tend to be a little moody :).

19.How long have you been together? Just over 2 years!

20.Are you Married? YES!

These are more current pictures of me pregnant. I'm starting to get so excited while my hands seem to be swelling even more. The good news is that I don't have kankles yet!

This is us in CA. I'm so happy to back in Utah. I love the Clean Air Act and I love the fall weather!

This was taken in August for graduation. I'm finally done and Matt will be done in December! We're both so excited!

This is how I feel most of the time. I'm still puking on a daily basis and sleep most of the time I'm not puking. I'll be so happy when he is born. I take comfort though knowing that he is super strong because all he does is kick me...all day long!
So I knew our baby was boy when everyone thought he was going to be a girl. I also just know that our baby is going to come December 23. He'll be a little bit early but still considered full-term. This was a pic of my third ultrasound. He wouldn't hold still and just kept showing us his butt and proving that he was indeed, a boy. I have a feeling he is going to be a baby that runs around with his clothes off. Image
