will the real ross lynch please stand up
Posted: December 29, 2012 Filed under: noah, photo Leave a commentNot sure when it started exactly…I guess sometime this summer…but Noah has developed quite an obsession with Ross Lynch from Austin and Ally. In Noah’s mind, Ross Lynch is the next Michael Jackson. The rest of the family finds him terribly annoying. Oh well.
Noah’s love for all things Austin has resulted in him spending a significant amount of time singing along to Heard it on the Radio while playing a guitar from Beatles Rock Band. (And by significant, I mean like ten times in a row, which would easily be twenty or more if I was a better mom.) Additionally, he has become obsessed with “flipping” his hair (bangs??)…what little he has, that is. Lucky little guy scored a karaoke machine and a Paper Jamz guitar for Christmas, so now he’s almost the real deal, AND we get hear this song blasted even louder through a real working microphone. Awesome.
I bet you’ll never guess who Noah chose to dress up as on Halloween… And for the record, he insisted on wearing the wig at our first November tailgate. Unfortunately for Noah, Dad put his foot down on that one.
just whistle while you work

This has been a goal of Noah’s… for months and months and months. After hours of frustration, he’s finally getting it.
This is a pretty big deal for a 6-yr-old with a left facial palsy.
I’ve never heard a more beautiful whistle.
more than a handful

He spent his big day with Brad and Jacob on a cub scout 2-night camping trip. They had a great time, but I must admit it was a bit hard on me…this is the first time I haven’t been with one of the boys on their birthdays.
The boys got home late Sunday morning and in true Noah fashion, he refused to open his presents until I could be there (I was in KC). He continues to have such a sweet, tender heart… And though he’s getting older, reading, and developing new interests, he’s still the same crazy-dancing-laughing-singing-cheese-loving-potty-talking Noah.
This picture was a taken a couple years ago, but it captures perfectly Noah’s take on life.
You can’t help but fall in love with this kid.
corn on the cob dilemma
Posted: July 6, 2011 Filed under: noah, photo Leave a commentLook closely…
Verrrrrrrrry closely…
We were eating corn on the cob for dinner.
Noah: I can’t eat my corn. It hurts my tooth.
Me: Let’s pull it out.
Noah: OK.
Done.
When it comes to loose teeth, this kiddo is easy peasy. 😉
same bed, different pillow
Posted: June 27, 2011 Filed under: noah, photo Leave a commentA few weeks ago the tooth fairy visited our house, but this time the money was left under Noah’s pillow… thought I’d better get it documented on the blog. He was very calm; no tears. Asked to have it pulled out because it was bugging him and 5 seconds later it was done.
This is a very, very different scenario compared to pulling Jacob’s teeth.
Noah has a hard time not blinking when getting his picture taken (which is actually a wink due to his palsy).
He insisted on taking pictures until we captured one with his eyes open.
Clearly, he was concentrating very hard on this objective.
And one for fun… where Noah is looking more like Noah with his sweet, crooked, little face. 😉
lessons learned
Posted: April 4, 2011 Filed under: noah Leave a commentSaturday night we just happened to catch a glimpse of Noah…in the kitchen…”cleaning” his DS…by holding it under running water. Gasp!
Apparently he was trying to rinse the leftover Doritos cheesiness off the buttons.
It’s been nearly 48 hours and the DS is working again. Phew. His favorite game that was in the DS during the time of cleansing isn’t. Darn.
Lessons learned by Noah? Water & Electronics don’t mix. Neither do Doritos and gaming buttons.
