Blowing off the dust covers??
Imagine if you are old enough…it’s 2007, and I have just moved my blog over to WordPress and I am a prolific blogger, when blogging was new, nobody had heard of vlogging and even if they had, with a face like mine I would have avoided it. These days my face looks like a screwed up paper bag, so I am not going down that road.

I had a twitter account before most of the world knew what twitter was, and most twitter uses weren’t born! I had readers from 125 countries and was listed in the top 25 medical blogs across the world. Then I changed jobs, had two young daughters, and blogging became a chore.
I also tried to keep my blog a reflection of my work and current without wanting to get pulled into too much political satire, partly as my audience were mostly from the USA and partly as I know how easy it is to wind up politicians, unless you actually want them to do something useful.
I kept the twitter going, and have a measly 100 followers – (no you’re not measly – I love you all dearly, there just aren’t many of you!!) … and very much like my first posts…I know next to no-one will read this, but I ask myself should I kick off the dust sheets and given it another bash? Do I have enough material?(hell yeah!) or time (hmmmm…not sure). It seemed like a good idea when the insomnia kicked in last night, but perhaps I should buy myself some nice felt tips and do mindfulness colouring instead.

I guess “Change of Shift” is long gone, I know lots of my US bloggers have retired or just ran away from nursing screaming, it really will be a case of starting from scratch.
So my last post was about Covid19, it seemed current – it was in April 2020! Little has changed, but a lot has changed. We’ve been merrily jabbing away and hospital admissions and deaths with Covid have decreased from last year, but I think everyone is sniffing around 2022 for the return of restrictions, certainly Wales and Scotland have them in place again.
Well if anyone is reading this, and this is the last post despite it being 2029, then I wish you a Happy New Year, but who knows…..
