Happy Third Birthday, Max!
Max had a very exciting 3rd birthday. He kicked off the festivities by taking airplane shaped cookies to school to share with his friends and wearing the special shirt his mom made for his third birthday. He spent his actual birthday painting all day, racing cars around the house and helping his mom decorate for his big party. In the evening Max opened his presents and got to eat his favorite cake . . . cheesecake! He did all of this dressed as the Cat in the Hat. What a great way to spend the day!
This year Max got his first "real" birthday party. He invited a few of his friends to celebrate with him. Since he loves cars so much we decided to go with a little blue car theme for the party.

After playing for a bit the kids each had their pictures taken in front of a car backdrop that matched the little blue car theme of the party. The pictures were then put into photo frames decorated by the party goers and taken home as a memento of the fun day they had.

Max realized he could reach the table with all of the goodies on it. I think he had 3 cupcakes, 5 cake pops and 4 chocolate covered pretzels.
Instead of having everyone bring a gift for Max we decided to do a gift exchange. Each child brought a wrapped game and we did a swap of gifts. The kids were pretty excited to each get a gift to open.
The kids immediately gravitated to the table where they began coloring pictures of cars and trucks.

Max loved when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him and then the kids got to enjoy cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels and other yummy treats.
