Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas this year at home. Wonderfully, our children don't quite understand the concept of waking up at 3am. They slept in until 8:30! I was amazed, and very grateful.
We have carried om the tradition of giving pixie gifts on Christmas Eve. It was fun to see the kids excited about giving gifts to each other.
We opened a couple of presents and then my brother Skylar called from his mission. It was awesome to hear his voice. I can tell he is doing so well. So, we paused and ate breadfast, and to my amazement didn't start opening presents again until about 11:00! I know I would not have stood for something like that as a child!
I had Eliza as a pixie and I got her a "Dreamlight she had been begging for. She loved it and the kids slept in the same room with it shining on the ceiling. Eliza also got a sewing machine, and a locket.
Sophie got a toy kitchen and a bunch of toy food.
William got a bunch of Baden's old Ninja Turtles and a remote control car. He was thrilled.

Swiss Chard and Sweet Potato Frittata
I just made this, and it tasted great!
1 T. vegetable oil
1/2 onion
5 big stalks of swiss chard
1 clove of garlic
1/2- 1 cup chopped cooked sweet potaotes (I diced and boiled them)
1 tomato
2 eggs (or more depending on how big you want your frittata)
1 T. flour
1 T. milk
2 T. cheese (feta, gouda or monteray jack would be good, I used mozarella because that's all I had. :)
pinch of nutmeg
In oven- proof skillet or dutch oven, cook onions and vegetable oil long and low until they turn light brown, or almost carmelized.
Add swiss chard and stir until wilted. Add garlic, and saute for 1 minute. Add tomatoes, &
sweet potatoes. Mix egg, flour and milk and pour over the top. Sprinkle cheese over top. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Cook on stove a few minutes, then place under the broiler to finish the top. I ate mine with a drizze of sweet chili sauce. It was awesome!
