Christmas crafts and baking

Hey y'all,

We have done a lot Christmas baking and crafting this month.  I have a few really good helpers!  I have budding artists as well.

Image
We made snowflake window clings.

Image
We used fabric paint and traced a snowflake onto waxed paper.

Image
Both Molly and Colin did a great job.  Colin needed a little help, but was really very steady.

The kids helped me mix up the Buckeyes.

Molly added the butter.

A finished snowflake.  It worked!  They actually cling to the window better than the window clings we bought at the store!

All of our snowflake creations.

The highlight was probably icing the sugar cookies.

Both kids were so excited about it and really did a great job!

Molly was in charge of the stars.

Image
Colin was in charge of the trees.  Because they are green, of course!

Image
I was so proud of them.  They used wipes instead of licking fingers.

Molly is proud of her stars.

We made more snowflakes.  These are made of pipe cleaners and clear beads.

His tongue is almost out. ;)

We have had a fun filled month.  It's been nice to take a break from school and just do fun Christmas-y things.

Until next time...

My new boots

Hey y'all,

I have wanted cowboy boots for a long time!  I finally found a pair I liked that fit all my qualifications and didn't break the bank.  I am so excited about them!  The kids are pretty thrilled with them too.  Since I started really looking for them this fall, both of them want a pair too.  So, of course they had to try mine on as soon as they could.  So, we have a little stud and a little Taylor Swift.  :)

Image
Stud man... Molly wouldn't let him try on both.  She had the other one!

Here's our little Taylor!

On my feet, ahh...

Aren't the just wonderful?!?!  I love them!  I will definitely bring them to Ohio at Christmas, so be on the look out!

I contacted Target and they shared with my a way I can save and share the pictures!  Yay!  So, here are all the pictures I purchased.  I hope you enjoy them!

Christmas clothes

Hey y'all,

I took the kids to Target for Christmas pictures this week.  Of course, I had to take a few pictures of my own before we went.  I was pleased with what I got and with what was taken at Target.  Unfortunately, I can't save the picture files anymore.  Target has changed how they do things.  I can only send a link to all the pictures in an email.  Let me know if you want that link.  As a result, I can't post any of them to the blog like I have done before.  Good thing I took some on my camera, huh? ;)  I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner.  We are looking forward to seeing many of you in a few weeks!!

Picnic

Hey y'all,

The other night, I was invited to a picnic.  It was super nice.  The food was outstanding!  The chefs were amazing and very cordial.  It was THE BEST picnic I have ever been on.

The places were set.

The food was prepared.

Image
We had an official photographer.

Image
The garcon was efficient and friendly.

Image
Chef Molly made sure to serve exactly what I wanted.

Image
Here is a look at my delectable hamburger.

Image
Chef Molly (It was such a privilege to dine with the chefs.) enjoyed her sandwich.

Image
Chef Colin enjoyed his potato.

Image
I enjoyed my hamburger.

Image
The spread was quite elaborate.

We ended with dessert.  I highly recommend these chefs.  They are wonderful!!

Having a terrible headache all weekend long was not fun.  Grinning and bearing it so I could put smiles on the faces of two precious children was priceless!

Until next time...
