Molly's Birthday

Hey y'all,

Molly has had quite a big day today!  Our girl is 5!!  Wow!  She was so excited and enjoyed the whole day.  She took cookies to school to share with her friends, she opened gifts from Mom, Dad and Colin and we had cake and ice cream.  Overall, I think it was a homerun kind of day!

Ready for preschool in a new dress.

We have come a long way with this bear!

A bit of self-portait action!

We let her open a small gift early.

Image
Here she is ready to open the rest.

Image
She LOVES what she sees in this bag from Uncle Allen, Aunt Jill, Abigail, AJ and Rachael!  They got her a Cinderella play set. It's pretty awesome!

Image
She also LOVES her new doll from Grandma and Grandpa Jones.  Today her name is Melissa.  That could change tomorrow though. :)

Image
We let Colin help on one.  Molly has been wanting some new twistable crayons for a while now.  She was pretty pleased.

Image
Shy about panties already!  I guess that's a good thing!! :)

Image
I was surprised by this reaction!  This is a diaper bag set with a diaper, snacks, cell phone to call the babysitter, etc.  She loved it!  All the baby stuff was a big hit.  Yay!

Image
Love the tongue hanging out!!

Image
She had taken a peek at this point.  She liked what she saw.

A new dress! The girl LOVES dresses!

Hmmm, clothes?

Talking with Uncle Michael.  She got to talk to Uncle Sam, Johnny and Jackson too.

Loving her new baby.

Toting the diaper bag, full of baby goods.

A new outfit.

The new dress.

Okay, so this may seem like a raw deal, but let me explain...  This is leftover cake from her friend party.  Molly decided it would be okay to have leftover cake on her actual birthday and then for me to make her special cake when Grandma and Grandpa McCann and Aunt Kelly are here.  We are going to have another party when they are here, and the friend cake wouldn't be any good by then.  I thought she was very sweet and mature to want to have her cake a few days later.

Image
Blowing the candle.  Is she really 5?  Wow!!  It really is hard for me to believe she could possibly be 5 already!

Image
This picture is actually from a few days ago, but this is one of the outfit she got from Uncle Ben and Aunt Elizabeth.  We had to exchange the capris and get these shorts but Molly loves the shirt and of course, I think she looks adorable!  (FYI: This shirt is a size 8!!  What has happened to my baby girl!?!??!)

All in all, we had a great day.  Molly was happy and prayed forever tonight, thanking God for her new gifts!  So sweet!  I really love my girl!

Until next time...

Molly's birthday party

Hey y'all,

We had a birthday party for Molly yesterday afternoon.  We had a few issues along the way (a flower pot got broken, someone may have a black eye today...) but, everyone had fun and it was a success.  Molly had a blast and that is all that really matters.

Image
We made picture frames and flower pots.  This is before the madness.  The kids were able to decorate any way they wanted.  They had fun and were very creative.

Image
Colin was impressive.  Though, he did require constant supervision from Daddy!

Image
This is Ava, she was VERY creative in her design.

Image
Molly was in her element!!

Image
This is Janie.  Unfortunately, this was the pot that got dropped, but we set her up with a new pot and lots of decorative items to take home to make another one.

Image
This is Julia.  She is the sweetest thing!

Image
This is Nick.  We are hoping that he doesn't have a black eye today due to Molly's elbow.  (It was purely accidental.)

Image
This is Kate (and Julia again).  Kate was a little camera shy at first, but she made a beautiful pot and frame and had a great time.

Image
Molly received a lot of really nice gifts from her friends.

Image
A card made by Nick or Janie.  I am not sure which.  They both made one for her.  So cute!

Image
Blowing out the candles.  I cheated and bought a Sam's cake for this party.  It was pretty good.

Molly had a great time.  The guests had fun.  The clean up was actually pretty easy.  (Oh, and for those that didn't know, we used a room at our church for the party.  It worked out really well.)  I am, however, thankful that I will not need to have another "kid" party for a few years!

Until next time...

Molly's birthday pictures

Hey y'all,

We had Molly's birthday pictures taken this weekend at Target.  Of course, she isn't 5 until tomorrow, and she let the photographer know it!  In one of the pictures, she is holding out her hand.  The photographer asked her to "say" I'm 5 by showing 5 fingers.  Molly held up 4 fingers because she is still 4!  So literal!!  I am so pleased with how the pictures turned out.

Colin's Birthday Pictures

Hey y'all,

I finally got the link to Colin's birthday pictures.  Here are most of them.  They were having issues with their computers that morning, and Colin was wound up and all over the place, but I think we got a few really good ones.  He is just so cute!  It's nearly impossible to get a bad picture of him.  If it's bad, it's because he was too fast and was no longer in the picture!  Enjoy!
