watching my garden grow

are you surprised yet? my plants have made it a few weeks now. I did almost kill my chamomile though. I left it in it's little temporary pot too long. but i finally transported it & doing better now.
Take a peek !

My sage, basil & rosemary. I'm really surprised how much my sage & basil have taken off! my rosemary looks kind of sad in comparison. something is also eating the top leaves on my basil. so tonight i'm going to add some coffee grinds to the soil & spray some soapy spray in hopes of no more leaves being eaten! we'll see what works!
ImageI planted carrot, thyme, oregano, cilantro & spinach seeds & so far we've got quite a few little sprouts starting up. I moved them all outside once i saw the first sprouts & so far they're doing great! grow babies grow!

ImageMy potato plant :) The stalk is growing beautifully! I need to do some research since potatoes grow underground & i have no clue as to when they're ready! I'm guessing we won't have any until mid summer at the earliest. It'll be fun to eat our own potatoes!

ImageLook at my bell pepper! it looks like a jalapeno right now, but he's growing!

Not sure if you can tell but I have a teeny tiny green tomato growing in the middle of the plant! HORRAY! promise that wasn't there when i bought it! :)

Our little Garden

So I'm attempting to grow something again.
Besides a baby.

When it comes to gardening, my husband says I don't have a green thumb, but a black thumb. Thanks honey! Well it started a few months back with a potato that grew it's little green sprouts, so I just decided to see what would happen. I stuck a toothpick in it & set it on top of a jar of water. It grew roots FAST & all of a sudden in the past few weeks this one long stalk just shot up! it's at least 6-8" tall so I decided it's time to get it in the ground!
Papa Tony gave us a few planters to use and even a Gerber daisy plant (thinking I might kill that in NO time) but hopefully not. You'd be surprised, i have DONE some research. We potted our Gerbera daisy, 2 marigolds that are right by our tomato plants (we have 2) because apparently they are good companion plants. We also potted our herbs, Rosemary, Basil & Lavender along with some seeds- Cilantro, Thyme, Oregano, Carrots & Spinach. We'll transplant these when they are bigger. hopefully in another week or 2 we'll see some growth!

I would have taken some pictures of Mason helping me plant everything, but I've learned a 3 year old trying to help you with gardening just makes YOU more dirty, NOT him.
