"Six years" celebration!

ImageWe celebrated our 6th anniversary this year with an overnight trip to Snowbird. It was so beautiful, fun, and romantic! We bought a "stay and play" package and enjoyed all of the fun activities outdoors such as bull riding (fake bull), snowbirds version of the alpine slide, rides up and down the mountain side, hikes, zip line, swimming, etc. It was really nice just the two of us....like we were dating again. I love Nick so much and feel lucky we have each other!

HE DID IT!!!

ImageWe are so incredibly proud of Nick who graduated this July in Mechanical Engineering! He worked so hard and I am so thankful for him. Way to go honey!

ImageLike any proud mom (or wife), I took of picture of him on his last day of school.

ImageHere he is after his last day of classes. No more school....YESSSSS!

She is growing up!

ImageWe found a great preschool and decided to sign Mea up! Here she is on her first day! I can already see a difference with her....she is less shy and says she is making some new friends. Mea loves to dress up in the "color of the day" and looks forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays (preschool days).

ImageOn Mondays and Wednesdays Mea goes to swimming lessons. She really likes her teacher and does very well following directions and paying attention. I am just so proud of her. It has been really fun for her to have something to look forward to everyday.

Mea the Model

ImageMea asked me to take some pictures of her poses.

ImageI can't even find words to describe this pose!!

ImageThat's my girl!

A little bit of what we have been up to...

ImageAnything Dad does, the girls like to copy!

ImageLiving so close with family has been so much fun for us and and kids. We go on walks with my parents and their dogs a few nights a week. Here we are waiting for my parents to pick us up. We need to get pictures of Mea walking the dogs!

ImageWhen we tell Junie to smile she scrunches her face and shoulders. She is so funny!

ImageMea loves to dress up. Nick made her a crown the other day when they were outside. She said her name was "lava girl." I don't think she has seen the movie, just likes the name!

ImageWe went to a school fundraiser and waited in line for almost and hour to get Mea's face painted. I wish I had taken a picture when she first saw herself....she has never looked so happy and kept telling me that she felt so beautiful! The butterfly lasted another day before she decided to have us wash it off.

ImageMovie night with the cousins. They love to watch movies on my parents bed with treats of course!

ImageMea and Grandma Joyce sewed this pillowcase for Mea. It even has a pocket to put her teeth in for the toothfairy.

ImageJunie picked a curious George pillow.

ImageThe girls really loved helping Grandma sew!

ImageIts the tornado triplets in their spongebob shirts. Junie loves anything to do with spongebob and curious George and says their names when she sees them on t.v.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNIE PIE

ImageThis month we celebrated June's first birthday. I can't believe my baby is one! It is amazing how quickly one year passes. June is such a great addition to our family. She is absolutely hilarious, has so much energy, loves to be silly, gives the best kisses, and is Mea's little shadow. I am so glad we have our Junie. WE LOVE YOU!

ImageWe had to get a red, white and blue cupcake from our favorite cupcake store!

ImageJune was a little timid at first, but once she realized the "cupcake" was made of frosting and cake, she dove right in!

Image
ImageOpening her first present from Grandma and Grandpa Montgomery. Mea insisted she help June unwrap the present because she was sure June wouldn't know what to do! Ha ha ha. Throughout the day, Junes presents kept disappearing and we would find Mea hiding and playing with them.

Some of our SUMMER FUN

ImageOur favorite firework. I don't remember the name, but we called it the gold devil. It was crazy cool and ended with the loudest sound I have ever heard.

ImageThe "june bug" firework in action!

ImageMea adores her Dad and loved that he lit the fireworks for us to watch!

ImageThe Rexburg parade. It was our first year attending (normally we have been out of town). It was a lot of fun. We loved the free chocolate milk and all of the CANDY!

ImageJunie holding the "june bug" firework. We had to get our June bug with a june bug!

ImageWe bought these fireworks for our own show with some really good friends.

ImageWe love having lunch with Dad at school!

ImageOur first Lagoon trip! Nick had to be in school so the girls and I went with all of my family on my mom's side. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Mea and Sophie honestly rode the rides from 3:00p.m. to 10:00p.m....they only stopped for bathroom breaks and to eat dinner. I have never seen two happier kids in my life. They went on every single ride in the kid section (multiple times)!

ImageJunie and Papa at Lagoon.

ImageOur trip to Manti with the Montgomery clan! We had a lot of fun. It is a long wait for the pageant to begin (it doesn't start until dark).......both girls slept through the entire thing!

ImageThe grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa Montgomery (notice June poking Laila and smiling while she is doing it).

ImageJune on the swing at the "temple hill resort" in Manti. It was a fun trip and neat to spend father's day all together!

ImageGoofing around at Papa and Grandma Jodie's house. They love their swing, trampoline, and kiddie pool!

ImageMea painting beautiful pictures! She loves crafts and painting, just like her mamma!

ImageMe and my mom, Jodie. She came up for a week in June and we had so much fun! My mom has been coming up for one week every year since we moved to Rexburg over 5 years ago. I honestly look forward to this trip every year. It was nice this year to not be pregnant, working, or nursing a brand new baby! I love my mom so much. She is honestly my best friend and just makes me so happy! LOVE YOU MOM!!!

ImageFun sleep overs with cousins!

ImageVisits from Papa!

ImagePlaying at the splash park with friends!

ImageDad's famous gorilla rides! Mea requests them daily and they are the highlight of Nick's day!!!
