Nora turns 1 and Emmett turns 4!!!!!

So of course, we can't have a birthday party unless there is a blizzard! :) The snow storm came in the day of the joint birthday party at our house. It's so crazy how we have been getting these storms in May!  All part of the Colorado experience! Ha! We started out the festivities with a party at Little Monkey Bizness on Friday, a joint party at our house on Saturday, and a family party on Sunday.  Next year we are doing it all at one location!  I was exhausted by the end of the weekend.  The kids had a great time!  Nora's theme was All Things Pink and Emmett's theme was Star Wars.  The kids all came dressed in theme and we even had light saber training with a standoff against Darth Vader.  I don't know who enjoyed it more the kids or parents:). Pretty entertaining and fun weekend!

Spring 2017

Spring came and went within the blink of an eye!  From March until May, I think we went without stopping! We started off the Spring with a remodel on our kitchen which is still on going!  I want to finish it off by painting our cabinets, peninsula, and island.  Mike is really thrilled about it;)  The triplets came out for their annual Spring Break ski trip.  We only saw them for a couple of days because we had a wedding to attend in Charleston, SC. which was amazing.  The kiddos stayed in Denver with Pam, Bill, and Uncle Mark's family.  Emmett went up to the mountains with his cousins, Uncle Mark, and Pa.  Pam stayed in Denver with Nora.  Emmett went on a short ski ride with Uncle Mark on his shoulders! At the end of March, I took Emmett and Nora to Minneapolis for Alex's birthday party.  We had so much fun! There were some nice weather days when we attended the zoo and Easter was absolutely beautiful in Boulder.  April was a quiet month until the traveling began again in May.

Winter Fun 2017!

It has been a busy and fun winter for us! We have been doing constant activities around the Denver area and it has been great! Surprisingly there has been little snow in the Denver area but the mountains are getting one storm after another.  Mike and I are really looking forward to taking Emmett skiing next year and getting back on the mountain ourselves.  I just can't believe it is Spring time already! I'm sure we will have some spring snow storms so I can't get too excited about warm weather quite yet;)

Our annual Stock Show adventure with the White girls.  The kids had a great time and Emmett even got his first cowboy hat!

Image
He really loved his pony ride especially while wearing his cowboy hat.  Emmett is really into pretend play right now so this was the real deal for him being a cowboy!

Nora helped me getting ready for date night in Denver.  Mike and I went to this great restaurant in Denver call Bar Dough for his birthday.  It was such a delicious meal! We will definitely be going back

Super Bowl party at The Franks! Just a low key party this year.  We went all out last year with the Broncos in the Super Bowl so this year we were pretty quiet

Image
We have had some unbelievably beautiful days in the middle of winter this year so we have been taking advantage.  Zoo Day to get outside! This was one of the best zoo days!  Emmett and Skylar had up close experiences with Gorillas, Seals, Giraffes, and Elephants!

Valentine's Day party at Emmett's school.  It was so cute!  The kids prepared lunch for us and then served the parents.  It was such a nice treat

We had a Valentine's Day party in our house too for the kiddos

Butterfly Pavilion

We try to make it to the Butterfly Pavilion at least once during the winter time.  We went with our friends Lisa and Paxton right after the holidays.  It was nice to find a fun indoor activity with the cold weather and snow. I kinda feel like I'm in Costa Rica while I'm there and it reminds me of being on a vacation:)

Tulsa Christmas

Unfortunately, I didn't get too many photos in Tulsa for Christmas. We decided last minute to drive from Illinois to Tulsa to round out the holidays.  It was a pretty full couple of weeks. We were all pretty tired by the time we made it to Tulsa.  We immediately celebrated Christmas with Mike's family since they all wanted to head to the lake for New Years. I really wanted a low key New Years in Tulsa but we went to the lake.  Emmett loved spending time with his cousins. We relaxed the next few days after the holiday which was wonderful! Mike and I even went on a walk around the lake and had some extra hands on deck helping with Nora.

Cousin Christmas Photos

Kate, Joe, and I decided to have photos done of the grandkids for my parent's Christmas gift this year! I absolutely love them and can't even pick out a favorite! We originally wanted to have the whole family in photos at our house but the weather wasn't supposed to be very nice.  We ended up just having photos done of the kiddos instead which worked out perfectly.
