Family Celebration

Aubrey opened her gifts from family the day after her birthday. Here are some of her enjoying the wonderful things everyone sent to her! She is one blessed and loved little girl. Thanks to everyone who remembered her special day.

Loving on the dollie her Great-Grandmother made for her.

ImageOne of the best gifts of the day was her Elmo remote that Scott and I got her. If I had known what a hit it was going to be I would have given it to her a LONG time ago!!!

Image Inspecting the sweet dollie her Great-Aunt Barb gave her. She loves it and we take it in the car with us on every car ride.

1st Birthday

It is hard to believe that our baby girl is 1 already. This year flew by and wow....what a year it has been. We had a cupcake themed party with lots of family and friends present to celebrate Aubrey's first year of life. Aubrey had so much fun celebrating and he even enjoyed (for a few minutes) her first taste of cake! She wasn't a big fan of "getting messy"!!! Aubrey Lyn thank you for a wonderful year and we can't wait to celebrate many more with you. You are a blessing from God and we love you!

HeadBoards

So... I just lost my whole post somehow and don't have the time or energy to write it again. basically it stated in more details that I wanted to change our bedroom since as you can see it was BORING and BASIC. (we don't even have Adult Furniture!!!) My parents were in town and they helped me make some wonderful headboards for our room and even the guest room!

Melt my heart

Sometimes when I need a pick me up, I wait until Aubrey is asleep, then I sneak in and just watch her sleeping. Today was one of those days and this is what I saw....melts my heart and reminds me of all that is important in this world.

Milestones, Milestones, Milestones

Aubrey is almost 10 months old now and she is just thriving! She is doing and getting in to all sorts of things. She definitely keeps me busy and on my toes. She is eating lots more people food these days. She loves yogurt, ham, spaghetti o's, crackers, Gerber puffs, fruit of any sort, cheerios, and her all time favorite is CHICKEN. She gobbles that stuff up! She is also army crawling all over the place. She can't quite get up on all fours but that doesn't stop her. She is also pulling herself up on some things now. She is all over the place and I have found that now my entire day consists of saying No and trying to get her to understand her boundaries!!!!! Nothing is safe anymore. haha She has two teeth and I think she's working on the top ones but only time will tell. She still hasn't mastered the sippy cup but I think the main problem is that I haven't helped her learn it. She's talking up a storm and doesn't stop when she is awake. She has started big girl baths and loves, loves, loves to be in the tub with her toys. Although she isn't a fan of having water dumped on her head!!!!

She is doing great and we are just so blessed. We love you Aubrey Lyn!!!!
Image This is the wedge we used for her when her reflux was at it's worst. it's a triangle that sits on the floor or crib and you strap them onto the top of it. This helps keep them on a good angle to help with the reflux. Well, Aubrey grew to love her "wedge" and would sit, strapped in watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the mornings I have to get ready for work. Well, as you can see....she no longer can use her wedge. Scott and I found her this way one morning...she had figured out how to flip herself over and get her toys, even with the wedge attached to her!!!!!! SO FUNNY although Aubrey didn't think so!

ImageThis particular morning the floor started out clean and empty of toys. I didn't pull anything out of Aubrey's toy baskets so, she rolled and army crawled herself all over getting out all of her toys! She made this mess all by her little self!!!!!

Philly- Fever

We took a quick trip to Philly a few weeks ago to celebrate Popsy's birthday at the ballpark!!!! We went to what seems to be becoming an annual family trip to Citizen's Bank Park! Although the Phils didn't win...us crazy Phillies fans had a great time! We celebrated Popsy's birthday with a surprise party for him and were able to be in Dover for the opening ceremonies and first games of Jake and Jon's ball season!
Image Chillin' with my Mom-mom. Daddy bought me a pink bat and ball for my first trip to the ballpark!
