Saying Good-bye

Well, I finally did it. I said good-bye yesterday to my dear old Honda Civic as we traded it in for a new car for Scott. Your first new car, paying for it and maintaining it yourself (well with some help from mom and dad).... 10 years, 2 continents, 5 states, the autobahn, 10 countries, and 145k miles worth of travels and memories.... PRICELESS.

Image Here she is one last time.

ImageWhat a great car it was for me and us. It saw us through some wonderful times and helped us see the world - literally.
It was a sad day for me as we dropped the Civic off but all good things must come to an end. While is was a sad day for me to have to let go (I don't let go of things very well - as most of you reading this should know about me) it was time for us to upgrade to something else for Scott. He works so hard for our family and after his deployments he bought me the car of my dreams instead of getting something he wanted (like every one else was doing with their deployment savings). So, it was his turn yesterday.... you deserve it honey....thank you for all you do for our family. Here is his new RIDE...

36 weeks

Well, after my first sleepless night last night I think the baby is starting to prepare me for it's arrival. We have about 4 weeks to our due date. You'll see I've expanded, everything is swollen, and with the 90+ temps we've been having I am ready to meet our sweet little peanut! For all of you who love the baby photos here you go....

Chicago

A few weeks ago we took our last big trip for a while and probably our last trip as just husband and wife (in a few weeks baby will make 3). We headed to Chicago and Milwaukee to see some of Scott's friends from college. We had a great time going to baseball games and just catching up with everyone (minus the horrible sunburn I recieved on Day 1 at Wrigley - thank you weather man for being totally wrong about the forecast). Thanks Zeek for the great hospitality and a wonderful trip! Here are some photos from the games, Miller Brewery (which we didn't go in because it was packed), and Merkle's Pub in Chi-town.

32 weeks

Scott and I had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Thanks Mom and Pops Emery for a wonderful baby shower and for making the day extra special for us. It was a day we will never forget. I am so blessed to have such amazing parents and Baby "three" is lucky to have you for grandparents! We love you both! It was so fun to see everyone that joined us in Virginia for the celebration - thank you for celebrating with us and for all the wonderful baby gifts. Here are a few recent photos for you all. The nursery is slowly coming together. I still need to do a few things; put sheets on the crib, hang some wall art and photos, finish the curtains, hang a wall shelf and put together a few more baskets we have for the changing table. We are slowly but surely getting ready for "Three" to arrive and couldn't be more excited.
