a disclosure

Lately, friends have been taking my advice and asking my humble suggestion on how to get over heartbreaks. Some even called me the love doctor. hehe.. Well, it's simple really, for me. I love music, and I make it a part of my life, and I follow the meaningful lyrics that it has. I have shared about the Songs that I've cried with a few months back. Now, I thought that it would be good to share about few of the many songs which have inspired me, basically my life, and how they have helped me get through the hard and trying times. I guess I've become a happy person now, coz its been a while since i cried :-) So, no more "songs that I've cried with", now its "Songs that have inspired me".

Well, here goes. I hope some way, some how, it may help you through life's journey too.

1. Lesson's learned by Carrie Underwood

The lyrics says it all.

2. Ocean's will part by Hillsong

This song makes me happy, makes me secure, makes me feel closer to God.
The line I like the most - "
In My Life, Your Will be Done"
PS: I would love to attend such concert if only I could have the chance

3. How you live by Point of Grace

I try my best to live by this song! (well, except "kiss all your children, dance with your wife" part. hehe). When I wake up in the morning, I would turn on the music player from my phone, and listen to it, at least twice before I get up from bed. I feel that it gives me a brand new strength to face the day. I love every part of it, the tune, the freshness, the words, the meaning.. it's just.. INSPIRING!

4. Trust by Six Pence None the Richer

A song based on Proverbs 3:5. A very good friend of mine gave me this song 4 days ago, and since then, I have been in love with it. It has reached more then 200 repeats within 4 days! This is a slower version, the one I have has a higher tempo. If you want it, I can mail it to you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Lean not on your own understanding
In all of your ways acknowledge Him
And He will make you paths straight
Don't worry about tomorrow
He's got it under control
Just trust in the Lord with all of your heart
And He will carry you through

Lord, sometimes it gets so tough

To keep my eyes on You

When things are going rough

But when I turn my eyes up to the sky

And I hear Your voice it says to me

So child do not be weary with the troubles

Of this world I have overcome

And so, to all my xyz friends out there having their hearts broken by some undeserving good for nothing guy/girl, don't waste your life on someone who doesn't deserve you. And above all, don't keep anyone or anything above God, or He may take away the things you treasure most. If you ask me "Why mostly gospel songs?". Well, one thing I know for sure, love songs doesn't help, at all! Instead, listen to such songs as these, It will make you feel much better.
And so I'm telling you again..

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Lean not on your own understanding
In all of your ways acknowledge Him
And He will make you paths straight
Don't worry about tomorrow
He's got it under control
Just trust in the Lord with all of your heart
And He will carry you through

Mimi, the love guru, signing off! :-D

Whenever I see an old lady
I get reminded
About my grandma and how she used to sit under the sun peacefully with gazing eyes

When life doesn’t go my way
I get reminded
Of the song “Lesson’s learned” by Carrie Underwood

When I see a family happily going to church together
I get reminded
That it has always been my dream to raise a Christian family one day

Whenever I ride my Scooty
I get reminded
About the game “Need for Speed”, especially while going slow on the curves

Whenever I see the flower Hibiscus and its leaves, sand and GI Joe, Tea sets and an empty ‘Khaini’ box, a mango tree..
I get reminded
About my childhood playtime days
(Hibiscus flowers were used as ‘oil’, its leaves as ‘paan’, tiny roads were made on the sand for the joes to have their own kingdom, Tea sets, particularly the red ones and steel ones, and empty khaini boxes were used as balance aka patla, and we’d always climb up the mango tree near my uncles place)

When I see school girls happily chatting and laughing
I get reminded
About my friends in high school. We used to call ourselves “The Mighty Queens” and we didn't have a care in the world

Whenever I wake up at 4 am
I get reminded
Of the song by Secondhand Serenade “It’s 4 am, and I’m waking up to your perfume..” not that I’m waking up to anyone’s perfume :-)

Whenever my nieces get a hair cut, the one with a fringe
I get reminded
Of my hairstyle when I was their age
