A great weekend!

We had a great weekend with Chad, Cassy and Cohen! Of course I took a lot of pictures (217) and therefore there are a lot on the blog today! I'm glad that Christopher and Chad got to have some quality buddy time and Cassy and I went to shop (in between meals and naps) and just watched the kids play. Within about 5 minutes of them getting here we discovered that Addison and Cohen are boy/girl versions of each other. We played several (5) games of Wahoo, yes the boys came out victorious, Chris had to introduce them to El Sombrarro and we took them on a tour of Longview! Chad and Chris played golf Friday morning while Cassy and I shopped and waited for happy hour at Sonic.

As you can see they were not sure what to think about another baby being in their bathtub...

Addison liked to hold onto Cohenwhile they were walking around the coffee table. She only horse collared him once. However, the coffee table did get the best of them this weekend, lots of crying and only one bleeder... Coffee table 1, Cohen 0.
Image Cohen loved this soccer ball, he played with it the whole time, unless Addison was taking it from him...

Image This is how he liked to play with it, it made me laugh every time!ImageJust a cute picture of Chad and Cohen playing!

We did decide to see if the kids would race...

Image

Somehow Addison got distracted (I thought that Chad and Christopher's faces in this one were funny!)

Image

Since Addison was distracted in the first race, we had to have a rematch. We tried to find something that would that we knew they would focus on so why not race to the bottles! In this picture it may seem that Cohen is winning, however Chad distracted Addison and she caught up with Cohen in the last leg so we called it a tie!

ImageWe had two different photo shoots, one in diapers...

Friday night Chris and Chad cooked us steaks so after our ACU photo shoot we hung out in the back yard with them!

Aren't they cute with their little ones!!
Image This is how we kept them entertained outside while we were talking, they were loving it!

Before they left I caught Addison and Cohen holding hands. Aren't they cute!!!

Sunday it was so nice outside that we decided to get into the pool for real!

Addison was not too sure about her hat... we had a little fight to keep it on...

What we've been up to!

Two weekends ago we went to College Station to see my parents. She loved her time with them, enjoyed all kinds of new things.

Image Honey taught her how to cook and how to bang things together... loudly. She loves doing this now!

ImagePoppy (I think that's what my dad has finally decided he wants to be called) took her out to see the horses. She couldn't decided about them for a while, but she finally warmed up and would reach out.

ImageWhen we got back it was so warm on Sunday that we decided to see if Addison wanted to go for a swim, she did. The water was still a little cool, but she loved it! A giant bathtub, things couldn't get any better until...

ImageAfter the swim Christopher let her crawl around naked for awhile. She loves not wearing any cloths!

ImageSo even though she may look like a Collier, Addison did inherit a few things from her mother. 1) morning goo allergy eyes and 2) my tailbone (if you know me well enough you know what that means!)

Image

Mothers Day!

Image This is how we do our pedicures! Toys on the bumbo tray and she's good for a while! However, I have discovered that the toe nail polish does not stay on nearly as long anymore since she is so mobile.

Image She enjoyed talking to Uncle Kallen on the blue tooth! She was so confused, she just kept trying to go in circles.

ImageChristopher thought that it would be funny to take a picture of Addison getting her hand spanked. I thought it was a funny picture too! She's not allowed to hit the buttons under the tv, she's slowly figuring it out!

Oh by the way, the old man face returned this past week. Funnier that before if that's even possible. I haven't been able to get it on camera yet, but I will!!

The rest of these are some of her funny different faces.

I'm so excited!

I must confess, my bottom teeth are stained light brown. For the longest time (about 4 months now) I blamed the dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth in January. I really thought that she must have done something when she was cleaning them that made them hold onto coffee or something like that. It started happening right after my January visit. Never did I even think to associate the fact that I started using Crest Pro Health Mouthwash at that same time with the staining of my teeth, until this morning.

I'm so glad that I get to stay home with Addison, of course because I get to see and play with her all the time, but I learn so much from the Today Show. Well, this morning, all morning, they had their "teaser" about "Could your mouthwash be causing the staining on your teeth." So I had to pay attention just to see if by chance they mentioned Crest Pro Health. What do you know... that was the product they were talking about. I felt so relieved to to finally have an answer. I had been racking my brain to try and figure out what I had done differently the last few months that I hadn't been doing the last 27 years of my life.

Christopher and I were just discussing the discoloration Monday night, his comment "It looks like you brush the top of your bottom teeth but not the bottom!" So of course I had to call him as soon as I saw this story. As soon as I did he said "Now you need to take back all the bad things that you said about the dental hygienist." I did, I'm sorry, not that she ever reads the blog...

Mystery solved! Yeah!!! Now I can go and get some white strips (maybe not Crest this time) without fear of it coming back.

Crest Pro Health Mouthwash you SUCK!!

I'm getting better... at blogging... maybe!

I'm going to catch you up on the last few weeks then I'll get to the weekend in College Station!

Addison is getting too big! She's crawling like a speed racer and pulls up on everything that she can. Which in turn means lots of crawling and random red marks on her face. Oh well, I know that it's nothing abnormal, I just feel bad for her when she does have those BIG falls, or when she can't figure out why every time she tries to sit up too close to the coffee table she hits her head. I do eventually move her, she'll usually hit her head about 4 times before I move her, I just keep thinking that she'll figure it out, not yet!

So here is what we have been up to.

Image We went to Blake's 1st birthday party! It was outside at the Porter's land and was a barnyard party so Addison thought that she should sport her pink boots. (Thanks Paula!) They are too big in the feet; however it was a little hard to zip them over her calf muscles (right!!) Chad Lawson did tell me and Chris that if we got married and have kids that they would be fast and have big calf muscles, I guess he's right!

Image The bouncing zebra was a close as we could get to a horse. She love bouncing on this thing!

ImageNot really sure what Kanyon was doing here, besides sporting the awesome curly side spike, but everyone thought that it was interesting!

ImageAddison likes to give kisses, especially to herself in the mirror!

Image Like I said she's started crawling like crazy. She finally figured it out last weekend, April 26. I was gone a lot during the weekend for a friends wedding and Sunday morning I was amazed at just how much she was crawling no more belly flopping here!

ImageThis is one of my new favorite pictures of Addison, minus the eye booger and oatmeal on her face!
Image This is her "look at what a big girl I am" look that she gives when she lets go of something with one hand. This used to be quickly followed by a fall to the floor, but she's getting better!

ImageI just think that this is cute. She likes to watch her feet move around!

Image Too cute not to share! I'm not sure that she is ever going to get more teeth.

My friend Melissa Chisolm, now Haynes, got married April 26. I loved taking pictures at her wedding (just the "unofficial" photographer!). The wedding was fun! I was the "coordinator" so basically whatever she needed, I did. I like being the go to girl and the one that answers the questions and finds the solutions! I'm just sad that now she's 8 hours away in Corpus... Man, that's further than when we drove to Missouri!

Image Clay just taught me how to do this with the camera and I thought that I would try it out with Mel in her dress. She looks like an angel! (just so happens to look like a praying angel, not really sure what she was doing)
