The boys got to dress up for a few different parties. They went as two knights & a dragon for the Boo at the Zoo party.
Side view of Keith pumpkin creation.
Keith's pumpkin sculpture of a man pulling himself out of the pumpkin.
Here Keith is passing on an important tradition for our family. Pumpkin carving is taken very seriously from researching designs to sculpting the masterpieces. Here Keith is starting Kyle off with a little more traditional carving.
Kyle's 4th Birthday was Oct. 7th. This is the first time he's been old enough to really anticipate it & get excited about getting certain things for presents. This year the big deal gift was the Lego Batman video game. Here we've captured his look of pure joy when he opened the long awaited gift. He still tells everyone about it every time he answers the phone.
The littliest helpers get to be the tast testers. It has truly been a bounteous harvest with enough & to spare. Our coffers are filled to overflowing & we've been sharing with others.

Our Bear Lake Vacation
Kyle quickly figured out that to get in with Grandpa Warner, he'd have to get in good with Chip. To start with all the boys were petrified of the dog but by the time we left Kyle was calling Chip his new best friend.

Our lives were truly enriched as we spent time with Keith's grandparents. This was their first chance to meet Joshua & Samuel & Kyle hasn't seen them since he was 6 wks old.
Grandpa Warner took us to the Wildlife Museum in St. George. The boys all got binoculars like they were going on a safari. Kyle still talks about the pretend thunderstorm & all the animals we saw there.
Joshua & Samuel really enjoyed the shallow pool. Finally, they could splash without getting in trouble like when they splash in the tub.
Relaxing with Mom in our condo.
Kyle had a blast at the pool. He showed no fear as he jumped into the deep area. He had complete confidence that Dad would be there to catch him.
Samuel pauses at pool side for a photo.
Kyle tried his hand a tennis. He actually hit the ball the first time he swung.
We enjoyed a week at Bear Lake. We spent the mornings at the pool & the afternoons at the beach. It was very relaxing.

LDS Temple Open House
We stopped of at the temple open house on our way to Logan & Bear Lake. Kyle was especially intrigued by the angel Moroni statue on top. He's been learning about temples in Primary & listened carefully to the presentation when they explained that a temple is the House of the Lord. He asked, "Is He here?" He wanted to be sure that we know that Heavenly Father, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost live there. It was neat to share this experience as a family.

Our Fourth of July Campout
They loved the freedom & the dirt (or maybe it was the freedom to get dirty!)
Josh couldn't resist putting on Dad's hat & Grandpa's gloves.
They loved not having to be buckled in for feeding time.
Sam was Grandpa's little buddy.
Kyle loved running, swimming, & hiking with his cousins. He was so worn out by bedtime that nothing could keep him from sleeping through the night not even Sam's lengthy bout of inconsolable crying which probably woke up nearly everyone else in camp. Thanks to some ingenious inspiration from Dad (Keith took him for a "walk" pacing from one side of the tent to the other & back again until he finally stopped crying) & some snuggles from Mom, we finally got him settled back to sleep.
