Merry Christmas

ImageSorry for the delay but this has been a pretty busy week. Christmas was good, we spent the 24th - 27th at the cabin. Rhianna flew in on the 28th so we had another Christmas the next day.
ImageAlex didn't really understand the concept so we opened his stuff for him and he took an early nap.

ImageHe did like his new toolbench though.
ImageRhianna is a fan of her new dollhouse too. (truthfully she didn't really care about it that first day, but now she must show it to everyone that walks through the door.)

Big Boy Bed

ImageHe's still not that used to it but he was pretty excited to get a big boy bed. Julia was excited too because she got to make him this quilt to go with it. And too top it all off, Rhianna was pretty pleased that she gets the top bunk. Some day (hopefully soon) he will stop waking up and coming to get us in the middle of the night.

What's he gunna do?

Another one of those pictures you don't intend to take but it's too funny not to post.

For Sandy & Christine

Image
Sandy, per your request on the family website, here are our pumpkins from the Great Pumpkin Carve Off!!!! The top one is Nellie's Frankenstein, the Winner. The middle is Jeff's house window looking out over a graveyard. The bottom is my 'gobblin' that ended up looking more like an owl. Either way, it was a good time!!

Halloween was pretty much awesome and crazy busy for 3 days. We started off on Thursday with a trip to the pumpkin patch (which was FREEZING!!!) then back to my mom's house for the great pumpkin carve off. Nellie won the carve off with an awesome frankenstein. Then on Friday we dressed up and went to Boo at the Zoo which was so cute. The zoo was all decorated in lights and pumpkins and the mokey cages had cardboard pumpkins and blow up decorations in them, and there were trick-or-treat booths set up all over the place. Right after that we went down to the river where Nellie was part of a free city trick-or-treat carnival type thing. So we played the cakewalk and got more candy! On Saturday we went to Roz's for a hay ride which Alex loved, then to my moms again for a eating/getting ready party before trick or treating. All in all the weekend was a lot of fun and Alex is STILL recovering from all the activity!

Leaves are awesome

Image
Image

Image
Since it is fall, it is time to play in the leaves right? Of course. Alex loves playing outside and didn't even seem to notice the leaves until Jeff started sweeping them on him, which he LOVED. It was pretty funny. Tomorrow we are having the great Pumpkin carve off. Apparently Kyle wins every year so Jeff is determined to knock him off his throne this year. On friday we are going to a mini-carnival at the river, then on Friday we have a Halloween party at my mom's house then Alex gets to go trick or treating for the very first time. We are also hoping for a hay ride if we can talk Roz into it. Should be a pretty fun rest of the week. Will post pics when I have them!

Finally!!

So this has been one busy busy month. We have been working our tails off doing everything under the sun. Sothen as soon as our lives started to slow down my camera battery died and I couldn't find the charger so I couldn't post any pics or anything. I finally found the charger (after I borrowed my moms) in the camera bag where it should be it had just fallen underneath our other lens so it was hiding from me. Anyway, an update over the last month.... We have moved out of mom's house (thanks for letting us stay Mom!) and are now living in the other half of Jill and Kyle's house. It was the house we lived in when we first moved back from CA and has since been renovated into a duplex. It's pretty nice having the telfords next door 'cuz Alex loves him and just follows him around laughing and he ADORES Lorali... (I am pretty sure I spelled that wrong. Jill feel free to correct me..... again.) He just wants to squeeze her and gets all excited everytime he sees her. It's really cute. He still isn't talking.... I think. He says words like mom and dad and wow, Hi, yes, fine... etc. However, he doesn't say them often and will go for days without saying a single word. But then like today he looked over Jill's shoulder at what she was holding and said what sounded exactly like "What is it?" But he just doesn't say anything regularly enough for me to believe it isn't just an accident. So hey, he did everything else really early, it's about time he slowed down I guess. Other than that, Jeff is doing well in School, and I have decided to go back to school starting in January. I have applied for an LPN program at the technical college here in town, so pending acceptance I will be starting that. Idaho Falls is pretty alright, it's really nice being around family and always having something going on. It's starting to wear on Jeff a little bit, he's getting tired of not having any time to relax, but I function better this way. Keeps me out of a lazy rut. Christine, alex and I will look at your blog and everytime alex sees a pic of Chase he just points and laughs and gets all excited. It's is REALLY cute. Anyway, I think that is about it for us, take that Nellie.

So the last week has been super busy, Jill had her baby yesterday, they named her Laurali.... hmmmm.... I have no idea how to spell that.... anyway, Alex is in LOVE with her. He was so fascinated by her he just tried to grab and love her the whole time we were in the hospital. So, that was pretty much the coolest thing that happened. Other than that it's been busy work and running around. So due to the lack of cool things to say I just posted some of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks. Enjoy!!!

Boring Updates

So, blogger says it's been two weeks since my last post, but it has actually been closer to a month. And what a crazy month it has been. We had gma & gpa Koch in town as well as Christine and Chase. That was a good time. We saw lots of fish, we squished pennies, ate pizza, swam in the pool (which alex loved which was a total shocker since he HATED water up until then....) and had an all around good time. Rhianna went home to start her year in First grade, so we won't see her again until Christmas. Then we moved to Idaho Falls. We are currently crashing in my mother's basement until we find a job and a place to live. It's pretty awesome, feels a little bit like we are 19 years old. Jeff was accepted as a transfer student to ISU and is currently registering for his classes, so hopefully that goes well. I think that pretty much catches us up. Will post some pics when I have some cute ones.

Happy Birthday Jeff!!

Image
Image

Image

Image So we have reached the end of birthday season at our house with the big 30 for Jeff. It was a pretty low key day (just how he likes it) but he did get a coveted TCBY fro-yo cake. Of which Alex ate most of. The balloon boquet was a huge hit..... for about 30 seconds until Rhianna popped one and had a meltdown. Then they were a huge hit for Alex. The second picture has nothing to do with Jeff's bday other than the fact that I took it on his birthday... but COME ON!! Every time I look at it it makes me laugh out loud. It's rad. So happy 30th birthday to Jeff yesterday!

Farewell to Chocolate Bear

Image Today my darling stoopid dog decided it would be a good idea to snap at Alex for seemingly no good reason. So alas, we must all say goodbuy to Bear, as tomorrow she is headed for the pound. I am pretty sad 'cuz for all her faults I sure did like her. Jeff however, is waiting with keys in hand to drive her away. Poor Cami just can't seem to keep a friend. I wonder if she will be happy or sad.....

Happy Birthday Rhianna!!!

So today was Rhianna's 6th birthday! And what a day it was. Her friend Kyla came over this morning about 9am (rhi was still in bed...) and we had pink chocolate chip pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast. Then the two girls chased each other and the dogs around the yard for a while until we went swimming at a place called Sandy Point. It is a little runoff from Lucky Peak reservoir made up with grills & picnic tables and sandy beaches and a fountain in the center you can swim out to. Our friends Mandy and Adam and their kids came along and we had a picnic and swam for the afternoon. After we were done with that we had some more friends come over and we had a BBQ then pink cake and opened presents. Thanks to both the Grandparents and Mama Duff for the sweet gifts, she loved ALL of them. Grandma Price... ask me later and I'll tell you what you bought her.. ;0) Now she is outside in the tent with Kyla having a sleepover and staying up WAY too late playing with all her new gifts. It was a pretty awesome (and exhausting) birthday, sorry everyone couldn't be here to share it with us.

Catch Up

So here it all is. First and most important, Alex and his new favorite treat, apple cores. He LOVES them, as you can see by the huge grin on his face. On Monday we went to Island Park to the cabin, and my dad decided it would be a good idea to drive to the top of the world. Or the top of sawtelle mountain as it were. Pretty amazing site, i must say. But I have never driven a scarier road then the tiny little dirt path that winds up the side of that mountain. Oh, and if you are wondering where Rhianna is in all those beautiful scenery pictures, she is hiding in the car 'cuz the California girl can't handle the cold! ;0) But she did find some snow and played in it for the first time in her life. She ate some and said it tasted like "um....... water."
Last friday he finally had his own first birthday cake, so of course we stuck his face in it. Although honestly he put his face in it by himself, we just had to shove it down a little bit further so the frosting would stick. He shared his party with Nellie who's birthday is the day after his, so we bbq'd and had cake and opened presents, all the usual stuff.
Leanne took his 1 year pictures this weekend as well, so a s soon as I get them I will post a few so you can all see how amazing they are!
