Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We took William to his first of many Cleveland Indians games! Despite the FREEZING temps, the kids had an absolute bast at fun day (If you are a Clevelander, go check out Sundays down at the plaza...SO MUCH FUN!) and running the bases! Elise told me she wants to live at Slider's house. Me, too, girlfriend, me too.

The Indians pulled out a HUGE win against the Detroit Tigers which kept us cheering the whole 9 innings. William just giggled and smiled the whole game. Yes, he was meant to be a Tribe fan. Let's hope for his sake, they win a championship...soon.

April Round-Up

Ack, where did the last 5 weeks go!!?!?! Sorry about that, April was an insane month! We left on our road trip to NY. 2 kids & Mommy traveling from MI to NY to visit Grammies, Aunt KK, Aunt Sandy, & Grandpa. Our mission to find Aunt KK a wedding dress & get the bridesmaids outfitted. Mission completed! I love my MOH dress & Karen is going to be the most beautiful bride. :)

Also while we were in NY, we went to the indoor waterpark, bummed around Clifton Park, went to Hoffman's playland and celebrated Easter. Whew! A lot to fit in in a week!

After the road trip, Mark & I celebrated our holiday at Jacob's Field  ahem, Progressive Field. The weather could of not been more PERFECT! Our crew got a bit bigger this year, as we added Amanda, Jessica, & William to the pack. The only downside, eh the Indians lost. However, I am not expecting them to do be in the playoffs until at least we get a new owner. LOL!

Then I started classes to be a volunteer at Beaumont Hospital. It has been very rewarding so far and I am glad I took the giant step into doing something for me.

Finally our travels took us to Chicago for Mike & Kiely's wedding shower. We celebrated Daddy's Birthday at his favorite Chicago eatery, Tango Sur. Elise & William LOVED riding the EL. Where Elise told us that the sign on the Tracks said, "Do not stand on the train tracks or the train will STOMP you." Love that girl! The wedding shower was a blast and the kids got to play with Auntie Dana at her fab pad. On Sunday, we had the most wonderful brunch at Prairie Fire. My eggs benedict was amazing. Then on the way home we listened to the CAVS stomp the Bulls.

Finally, we ended out April celebrating Mother Earth at the Plymouth Green Street Fair. It was a fun filled street fair filled with a ton of kids activities.

Whew, what a fun filled crazy month!! (Pictures to be added later!)

William is 6 months old!!

Image
Happy March Madness to everyone! Can you believe I am 6 months old? I can't either! I am tipping the scales at 15lbs 9oz and about 26". I love to eat-my favorites so far are peas, green beans, avocado, banana, and peaches. I am not a fan of oatmeal or rice cereal, no matter how many times Mommy tries to feed it to me.

This month I learned to rock n' roll. I love to roll to get to my sister's toys. I am also sitting by myself. This makes playing with toys much easier. I love picking up my blocks and jamming them into my mouth.

I love to nap, but sleeping at night is overrated. I am getting better now that I can sleep on my tummy and find my pacifier to put in my mouth. However, I still love those late night snuggles from Mommy.

Hope you all have a great Easter! I will be celebrating in NY. Also, Happy Start to baseball season! Mommy & Daddy are already brainwashing me into becoming an Indians fan. With their decent spring, it looks like maybe just maybe we won't be a basement dwelling team.

Love,

William

We're going to the Zoo. Zoo. Zoo.

This weather is freaking AWESOME! So in true St. Pattys day fashion, I took the Fletcher Kiddos to the Zoo to soak up the sunshine. Elise loves the apes, polar bears, and giraffes. All the animals were out today and active which changes in the summer when they are usually napping.

Watch out Michael Phelps...here comes Elise!

Our friend, K, introduced us to a super fun swim school, Goldfish Swim School, today. Elise has always been a little nervous in the water and clinging on to me for dear life. As a former swim teacher & lifeguard this broke my heart. So, we decided to bring in the big guns and sign her up for swim lessons! Elise was a bit nervous at first, but once she warmed up to Mr. Mike, she got really into the lessons! I look forward to watching my little guppy turn into a fish!

Spring has sprung (almost!)

Finally Spring has made an arrival here in Michigan! Even though the snow took 6 days to melt, the warm temps, the birds chirping, and the sun put all of us in a great mood!! I took the kiddos out to the park Monday and we had fun even though there was still 5-6" of snow on the ground...

Word has it that next week it is going to keep staying warm! YAY! Perhaps we can say goodbye to winter until next year?!!?
