I'M BACK!!!!

I think that you all should be celebrating, because guess who's back??? ME!!!! Haha so now I am back and should be posting about random things every so often, since it's summer and I'm bored. Standing on Hallowed Ground

The Kansas City Temple has finally broke ground--Yeah!! Micah and I were able to take the older girls to the Ground Breaking Ceremony, a new experience for all of us. It was a beautiful morning(but FREEZING!!!) and the spirit was so strong. When the ceremony ended, Elder Rasband said that he had attended another ground breaking ceremony with President Hinckley who offered for the attendees to come up and dig a shovel in. Elder Rasband then replied, "If it's good enough for Pres. Hinckley, than it's good enough for me!" I was SO excited (much to my children's dismay) and I dragged my freezing family up for a few memorable photos. (Funny how once Malia got started digging, we couldn't get her away!) We are so excited for what this means for us as a family, community, and church and look forward to watching it come to fruition over the next 2 years. How fun to say that we got to be part of this amazing experience!!

Is it Monday yet?!?

Dead car battery before church...an hour late. Dead car battery after church...hmmm. Toilet floods the bathroom...fun. The stomach flu finally caught up with mom...thankfully after the toilet was fixed!!

FLOUR FIGHT!!

So during this past week we were making sugar cookies to hand out to the people in the neightborhood. I was pouring the flour in to the mixture when I thought it might be funny to sprinkle some flour onto Bella's head. I did, and then my mom saw and sprinkled some flour onto my head. It resulted in Malia, Blaine, Bella, Mom, the kitchen, and me being covered in flour. My dad was pretty suprised when he got home! :) Here are some cute pics he took:

Snow My Goodness!!

Yeah!!! We finally had the white Christmas we've all been dreaming of!! We didn't get the 20 inches that was predicted, but KC got the first major snowfall on Christmas Day since 1963. It was beautiful, but BITTER!! The wind made our 9 inches seem like alot more when it was whipping our noses and toes. BRR!!!! :)OH MY GOODNESS!! It was fun playing in the snow outside with some of our new toys. We wish you could be here with us in our Winter Wonderland!
