As they long for democracy as you had marked
Aba U Tin U saluted you with a bowed head
Daw Aunf San Suu Kyi followed suit with knee flexed
You are a role model for determination and steadfastness
Never giving way despite torture and helplessness
Your head unbowed and your heart never stop beating
For truth for fairness and for the benefit of the people needing
You died a hero's death after 20 years of incarceration
You are physically gone but still remain in imagination
Gone but not forgotten thou art a hero for ever
You are a valiant and valuable son of Burma!
