Summer Dance

Shayla's favorite week of summer dance is dress up week. We had zoo Tuesday, western Wednesday and Jersey Thursday. 

Youth Conference 2016

They youth got to go to Nauvoo this year. I wish so bad that I could have gone, I miss working with the youth but I'm really glad AJ got to go. He said he enjoyed it and had a great time. 

It's Time for Some New Paint

This house has some crazy paint colors and the Dino g room was one of them.  So time to get rid of the 90"s sponge paint and replace it with a neutral cream. 

A Birthday and a Half Birthday

Happy 6 th Birthday Izzy. We couldn't imagine our family without you. 

Happy 1/2 birthday Shayla. 6 more months and you'll be a teenager!!

Kimmy's Homecoming

It was fun being able to go up to Mt Vernon to listen to Kimmy's homecoming talk.  She was an amazing missionary in Panama. You can really tell how much she loved the work and the people she served. We love her!

Delta is 8 Months Old!

I'm so glad I got to spent a little bit of time with this sweet girl on her 8 month birthday before I headed back to Ohio.

The coaches said that AJ had improved in all areas on the ice and he also had the most hits on the team. That made me laugh cause he's not a very big kid.

I've Lost My Wisdom (teeth)!

Don't ever have you're Wisdom Teeth taken out at the age of 46!! It's just not a very fun thing to do!

This was also my very 1st surgery ever and my first time being "put under," so I really didn't know what to expect. 

Everything went well and I wasn't too loopy either. I was somewhat coherent afterwards, only telling my husband that my young felt like a cutcumber once but telling him 3 times that my Dr was young and very quiet. Luckily when he asked me what child was my favorite, I answered "all of them!"

After I got home, I slept a lot and the three up for 2 days straight. It was horrible, I was super sick and had the worst headache ever. Once I quit taking the pain meds, I could keep my food down. I had my teeth out on Friday and was back to work in Monday. That was crazy!!

I looked like this (I remember holding up my peace sign and thinking I was trying to be like Mariah). 

But I felt more like this!

My kids always have to go early to watch the warm ups.  You can get right next to the glass.  Sometimes the players will interact with you or throw you a puck.

FLORIDA!!!

Masood had a company trip to Orlando, so we decided to make a family trip out of it.  We've already done Disney World so this time we decided to do 3 days of Universal Studios. Driving to Florida in February was a little scary, but once we got past the snowy roads and the sun came out, we had no problem.  We took 2 days to drive down.  And the weather in Florida was beautiful  It was between 70 and 75 the whole week.  The Floridians were freezing but we were loving it!!

 Our first day at Universal Studios.  Masood could only go the 1st and 3rd days, because he had meetings to attend.  We had such a great time!!

 Our 2nd say was spent back at Universal Studio's and at their 2nd park called Islands of Adventure.

You could take the Harry Potter train from one park to the other.  It super life like and fun. 

We are now in the Harry Potter world that is in the Islands of Adventure park. 

 The pigeons would eat right out of our hands.  I guess they like chocolate chip cookies.

 I made the kids ride the kiddie train here, but other then that they wouldn't ride any other rides here because they were for the younger kids and they wanted to ride the big stuff.

 She fits!!!  She wasn't sure she wanted to ride a scary big ride but her brother and sister talked her into it and then she loved it and wanted to ride it again.

 This is a very true statement!!

 AHHHHH, the dinosaurs are running free!!!

 My kids cant ever find anything with their names printed on them.  So when we found a leather engraving station, she just HAD to get one.

 The only ride that almost made me barf was inside this castle.  I will NOT do that one again.

 Our 3rd day in Orlando was spent just roaming around Orlando.  We had to change hotels, so we went to the mall and found some good food to eat, like Cici's Pizza and Sweet Tomatoes.

 Masood and I went to a Home Team dinner where you could take a ride in this car that then drove into the lake and became a boat.  Pretty cool!

Shayla and AJ both got new tennis shoes at the Nike Outlet.

 Our 4th full day in Orlando was spent back in Islands of Adventure with Masood and then back to Universal to ride some of our favorite rides again.

 You can't go to any major amusement park with out getting a giant turkey leg.

 This horrible storm stayed over tip of us all the way home.  Thankfully it was only heavy rain until we got home and it turned into snow.  

The day after we got home from Florida with had our 1st and only Snow Day off from school. I was so happy because it gave me a day to get unpacked and caught up on all the laundry.
