Gabe Newell just bought a yacht. He’s probably not overdrawn, but better safe than sorry, right?

PS: I shudder to think of what will happen to Valve and Steam when that man is dead.

Seriously, people need to talk more about revenues. Sure, it’s embarrassing when you’re not higher up on The Official Alphabetical List of Author Success (for the record, I am somewhere on the ‘L’ side of the L/M divide). But I think that folks should be able to assess just how much I know what I’m talking about when I start pontificating on self-publishing or whatever. Fair’s fair.
But that’ll be on Thursday. Between then and now I encourage everybody seeing this to totally puff up my end-of-year results. Buy my books. Order some physical copies. Buy my games. Subscribe to my Patreon. Check out my Linktree. Get some merchandise. Heck, buy me a Ko-Fi. You could also subscribe to my Substack, even though that’s free. It’s all grist for the mill.
Patreon has been charging from my monthly revenue instead of my credit card again, so I bit the bullet and moved all the monthly subscriptions over to my other Patreon account. It’s kind of annoying, yes, but it’s what had to be done. In the meantime: I did not cancel any subscriptions, so if you have one from me, don’t panic. I just moved you to a new account. Nothing’s wrong. I still like your stuff.

PS: I have a Patreon.
I worked on the story, I put up something on Patreon, and now I am out of oomph. And it’s not even 8 PM yet. I am apparently dull today.
Oh, well, it’s still Christmas break. If I think of something, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, buy a book, maybe?
It is a measure of just how unrelentingly… EA EA is that I am not entirely pessimistic about this news.
Under the terms of the deal, shareholders will receive $210 per share. Control of the company will largely fall to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which will hold 93.4% ownership. California-based private equity firm Silver Lake will take a 5.5% stake, while Affinity Partners, founded by Jared Kushner, will hold the remaining 1.1%.
Continue reading EA to be purchased by Saudi Arabia?October 24-25, 2026. FrightReads will be at the Howard County Fairgrounds again, which is a nice spot for it. And so the cycle continues…

And don’t forget: if you can’t wait, you can check out my LinkTree here.

PS: I’ve also made it clear that BANSHEE BEACH will be for sale at that venue. So I have no more excuses. I am pot-committed…
