To Blog or Not To Blog...

Wow. I don't even remember posting the previous one - last year was a complete haze to me. :/

I forget this old blog more often than I think of it, and that's just sad. So time for a change, one way or another. Do I continue with a new dedication and purpose or do I shut it down? Hmmm...

Here's what I'm thinking - I've been wanting to participate in Project 365. A year in pictures, so to speak; a Day in the Life as an exercise in photography. Couple that with a few lines of witty banter and I've got myself a blog (more or less, anyway).

I'm hoping to start this expedition on my birthday which is fast approaching. And perhaps I'll have a new camera lens (or two??). For now I'll leave you with a photograph that represents what I was feeling yesterday as I rediscovered a friendship I feared might be lost, what's old is new again and the promise of spring.

This one's for you Nancy...

...because I'm pretty sure you're the only one who still reads this. If you still read this. :P

"You are old, Father William,"

the young man said,
"And your hair has become very white;
And yet you incessantly stand on your head --
Do you think, at your age, it is right?"

This sweet little child spends more time on her head than her feet, no lie!
Perhaps gymnastics is in her future?

A Potpourri

It's incredibly frustrating when your perfectly capable toddler doesn't want to use the potty. I won't go into details in case you're eating, but let's just say...yuck! And I'll add, c'mon Olivia, get with the program!! (said in the sweetest voice)

Stars (famous people) are sometimes stupid. I guess one could argue that most of society is stupid, but because stars (famous folk) are in front of "the lens" we're more apt to hear about their mistakes. For the most part though they hurt themselves, and I just mutter, "stupid (insert famous person here)." But it's a whole other thing when they put other people at risk. So I hear that Shia LeBeouf (who was a Disney star and in the latest Indiana Jones movie) crashed into a vehicle while drunk. Luckily he was the only one hurt, stupid Shai.
I'm getting out my soapbox, so watch out!
It's one thing to hurt yourself to the point of death (or even to death for that matter) but it freakin' pisses me off when you're putting someone else in danger. I'm not sure if Shia has a fan base, but he did host Saturday Night Live once I think, so there's that. Anyway, my point is what message is he sending to his "fans?" What if he'd killed somebody? Seriously. And then I found out that he's had a prior drunken stupid episode in a Walgreens. Nice. Look (here comes the moral), if you're going to drink, stay off the freakin' road already, because if you don't and you end up hurting my family, I'm going to kill you. For real.
Off my soapbox and back to your regularly scheduled blogging.

I love Mr. Rogers. And here's 15 reasons you should too!

Anyone want to start a book club? I thought about reading A Tale of Two Cities, but it took me about 20 minutes to decode the first two pages (sad, I know). I checked out Water for Elephants from the library and am reading that. I have The Other Bolyn Girl on request, but I'm #30 so I don't think I'll be getting it anytime soon. I'm up for just about anything (do I sound a little desperate?).

Oh and I know this is crazy, but I signed up for NaNoWriMo.
