Moving Blog ... and ATC

After thinking about this for a long time (it's going to be work), I have decided to start a new blog more aptly titled for what I post. My blog Mom5Kids is 95% my artwork and about 5% commentary. The name Mom5Kids may describe me, but it doesn't really fit my blog, so, I am moving my art to a new blog - thetasart.blogspot.com Theta's Art is a name more suited to what I post.

My new blog is under construction and will be experiencing color changes, design changes, and other disruptions, so please bear with it (and go ahead and comment on the changes) until everything settles into place.

ATC one flower and 3 watercolors

For the last two in this post I was playing with watercolors, the first I was experimenting with colored pencil over watercolor, and the fourth, the flower, has some spacial experimentation. All in all these came out well for the amount of fun and experimentation I did.

ATC Thanks Flowers

These thanks cards I worked on over a few days. It's hard to see on some, but in the right corner of each card I stamped thanks in gold ink. I watercolored the background, stamped thanks, and then drew the flower on each card.

I used - color: Winsor Newton Watercolors, pen: unipin 03, stamp: Sizzix, and ink: Tsukineko

ATC - 8 Thank You's

I did these on Wednesday and Thursday to put in the Thank You cards I made a few weeks ago. They didn't scan very well, most likely because of the rhinestones. 

The stamp is from Inkadinkado and the rhinestones are from India. I also used glitter glue, a unipen 03, a Zig 01, Staedtler fineliner pens, and Pentel Metallic Hybrid gel pens. Oh, on 91 I used a bit of Somitape.

If anyone is curious about the number skip. We were at Chilis last night and I made them a card. Naturally I forgot what number I was on and guessed 94. Hence, 94 is now 95.

I made these to enclose in the Thank You cards for the boys coach and assistant coaches. They have put in a lot of time and effort for the team.

Last week I bought myself a date stamp and 15 May 2014 I started stamping the backs of my ATCs as I finish them... It should help keep track of when I finish each one. On the front I sign and put the year, but it helps to know the actual date sometimes. It would have been helpful for the first two in my post yesterday.
