I’m not ready for winter. This has been our first really cold week after a mild fall and somehow my brain is still anticipating summer-like weather.
My girl turns 16 in less than two weeks. That doesn’t seem possible. She will get her license and get in her car and I will not see her again. (Ok, that is a bit overly dramatic, but that’s what it feels like.) She cannot wait to be free to go and do the things that I don’t have time to let her do now. I remember being that age and I don’t blame her for that. But as her mom it is hard to let go.
I’m taking her car (which was my car until a couple of months ago) to have the seats reupholstered. I also asked about fixing the remote door locks and may have that done as well. Now I’m wondering why I didn’t do that while I was driving it! It will be a bit better for her since it isn’t the car she wants. But it is a sturdy SUV and it is paid for!
If I’m your Facebook friend, watch for my 25 days of thanks posts for the month of November. I plan to choose something I am thankful for each day. Not a bad plan for the entire year but let’s see if I can make these 25 first.
I am glad you found me at my new home! Make sure I know where you are (leave your URL in the comments) so I can follow you!
