Birthday girl!

Image
Brian and Dory decided to try the 'Lacey Loves to Read' activity this month. They had to write a paragraph, then visit five businesses in town and read it to an employee there. Then the employee would talk about how they use reading and writing in their work, then sign the kid's paper. Here is what Brian and Dory said (Lisa wrote it down for them). I loved it!

I am here in Lacey visiting! We have had a great time! Lisa and I took Dory to 'Build-a-Bear' to pick out a birthday surprise. She chose two small teddy bears. She named them Sugar and Cinnamon.

We also went to Northwest Trek again; Andrew and I hadn't been there. It was beautiful and we had a great time. The scenery was incredible!

We went to Red Robin for her birthday dinner. Love this six-year-old!!!

Lisa and Dory have already finished reading her birthday present, the book 'Dory Fantasmagory'. It's about a girl named Dory who is six, the youngest of three siblings, who has a ton of imagination! How perfect is that?? It was so fun and she immediately wanted to read it again.

Happy Birthday Dory-girl!!
