Field Trip Friday

For our first Field Trip Friday of the Summer we ventured out to Zoo Boise.  We decided to go there first before it got to hot later this summer.  The kids always love the zoo!
(My sisters and I decided this summer every Friday we would do a fun activity for the kiddos if they did their chores during the week).

The kids all had fun, and it was a nice little outing.
We were lucky enough to bring little Christian along, he was so chill, we hardly even noticed the extra little kid.
So the crew was Kade, Jeff, Morgan, Jack, Kenzie, Cache, Mason, Addi and Christian, and of course me, Kiley and Kari.

Baseball 2013

Jack had his last baseball game tonight.  It is bitter sweet, nice to be done, but I do love watching him play.
He loves all sports and is so intense with whatever he is playing.  His team was the Bulls, and he had fun.
Until next year....

(don't mind the crappy/grainy pictures, these are from my phone,I am a bad mom, not once did I remember my camera!)

9 Months

So, this little guy is not so little anymore.
He is now 9 months.  I swear this has been the fastest 9 months of my life, EVER!  We sure do love him though.
At 9 months Mason is still content to sit and play with his toys and soak it all in.  He watches every move of the older kids, and I can tell he is trying to process all the movement, but just hasn't decided he wants to join in yet.  For which I am not complaining.  Because once they move it just gets more chaotic.
He sleeps through the night, rolls around, and just drools like a mad man.  There are no teeth coming in, or even close, but you would think with how much this kid drools!  I have to keep a bib on him, or his clothes are soaked.  He doesn't much care for food which is fine, unless he is going to be super picky like his oldest brother, then we will have a little problem.  We keep trying, but I am okay with the pace he is taking.

He is super happy and easy going, unless he is hungry or tired.
I can't complain, he is a pretty good little baby.

Until, the next time, enjoy these pics, because I sure do.  The baby blues melt my heart, but I can't believe not one of my kids have gotten my browns!

Chillin'

Mason had his first experience sitting out in the grass yesterday.
He didn't seem to mind it at all, unlike his sister.

And now he is saying, okay mom, I think you've taken enough pictures for one day.

The little guy also chilled outside with me today while I planted my flowers.  He loves being outside!

I also thought I would post a few pics of my flowers that I planted.  Here they are, I didn't have quite enough soil, so they are a little low in the buckets, hope they turn out okay.

Green Thumb

May 6, 2013

Tonight for Family Night we decided to test out our green thumbs.  The kids have wanted to plant their own flowers since we did it  a few years ago.  They like to be responsible and have their own plants to water.  We will see how long it lasts:).

The Finished Product.
They are so excited about them, especially Cache. And gosh, when did my kids get so big!  It's crazy, I tell ya!

I have two planters to also plant, but we ran out of the soil, and I haven't found just the right flowers yet, see here and here.  So once I do mine, I will have to post a pic.

****disclaimer****
I am going to try and get back into this blogging thing a little more regularly.  I miss it, and the family journal that it becomes.  I am going to at least move forward from here and try and catch up as I can.  Wish me luck!

Car Show

Yesterday the kids and I went to the Community Day at the Idaho Center. To our surprise there was a little car show too. We checked them out and each of the kids picked a favorite. It was fun, but we wish The Dad would have been with us!

4 Months

Mason turned 4 months on December 13th!
We love this little guy.  He is getting to be so much fun.  This month he has started interacting with everyone a lot more.  He is now laughing and smiling a lot, he talks to himself and us.
He is still a little cranky at times, but he is doing better.  He is liking to lay on the ground and look around at everyone, and is trying to grab toys and things. We are working on sitting up in the bumbo and the boppy.  He is getting a lot stronger!

WE SURE LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!!!!
Since last week, he is trying to roll over, and is getting better at grabbing his toys.  His doctor appointment went good, he got his 4 months shots, and is right on track.

Mason 3 Months

Where Does the Time Go?

Image

Image
This special little guy is 3 Months old!
He is getting so much bigger by the day.  He is finally outgrowing his crying/colicky phase!  I think he is about 13.5 lbs.  He is sleeping 9 hours at night already!  It is awesome!  He smiles all the time, and is starting to try and talk, and make noises.  He found his hands and likes to chew on them, and is starting to drool a lot. We try doing tummy time, but he really does not like it all.  He is starting to grasp things, and loves to lay under his play mat. He is starting to giggle a little, but only like a little haha here and there.  I can't wait til he giggles, I love baby laughs!
So, that is a little update on Mason.
(I will try and do other updates soon).

Mason- 2 Months!

I can't believe my baby is 2 months already!
9 weeks!
Where does the time go?

Mason was 2 months on October 13th.
Mason went to the Dr on October 16th.
His 2 month appt went great!  He is 50% across the board, and growing great!  He had his first set of shots, which he did not like at all!  He was pretty sad about it, all day!
We got some medicine for acid reflux, we will see if it helps the poor guy out...he can be pretty cranky and achy at times.
Mason is a sweet boy, he is starting to really smile back at us, and interact a little.  He is starting to drool, try to make noises, he loves to lay on his changing table and look at the bears on the mobile over the pack and play (they get some really good smiles outta him, it's so cute!).
We all love him so much!
