More fun with Brooklyn in January

I was going through some clothes that we had been storing and Brookie found these. She insisted on wearing them, of course! How cute!

All bundled up and ready to play out in the cold! Maybe she should wear different shoes, though . . .

One of Brookie's favorite things to do: Put on a dress and "spin around." (She asks me to spin around every Sunday morning before church!)

Have I mentioned that Brooklyn loves shoes? She adores footwear of any kind, really. She saw Brynlee's slippers and just had to try them on!

Brynlee thought that was a great idea.

How about an update on Brooklyn's hair?

By the end of January, she had just enough hair to hold a tiny barrette -

- and the cutest little curly ponytail ever!

Unfortu-nately, the barrette and ponytail only lasted 5 minutes. Oh well. Someday, this girl will have a full head of hair!

Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday

Brookie's birthday was Sunday, January 8, 2012. This is the adorable dress she wore that day. She loves to pose for photos!

She got an MnM dispenser from Grandma and Grandpa Harris - Grandpa made it himself!

She received a baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Morrison - and what's next?

SHOES!!! Brooklyn has a passion for cute shoes! (These were from her brothers and Brynlee.)

The last gift was a dry erase princess table from Mom and Dad.

She was so excited when she blew out the candles! She had such a great day!

Hmmmm, is it time to update our blog????? I'll start with a new family picture maybe? If I can even remember how to do this . . . If there is anyone out there who checks up on us from time to time, you will be surprised to see entries dating back to the beginning of this year - I feel a need to catch up the family history! So, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Riley loves church!

I just love our little Riley! Today in Sacrament meeting I looked over at him and he had his shirt completely unbuttoned and was about to take it off. I promptly buttoned him up but five minutes later he about had it off again! Little Turkey!

Does TV really affect my kids?

A few days ago, Carson and Riley came over to me and started flicking the back of my arm. Carson says, "Yep. Flabby!"

I said, "What?"

And he said, "You need what we saw on TV."

I asked, "What was it?"

Riley said, "It's a revolution!"

Carson said, "I can't remember what it's called, but you'll feel it after seconds. Only 200 reps for 6 minutes a day, Mom! It'll change your life!"

They called me to the room the next time the info-mercial for the 'shake-n-weight' or whatever it's called came on. Thank you, ABC Family!

Our own little Napoleon!

So, I'm wayyyyyy behind on our blog, you know, moving again and all. There are lots of pictures and details I want to add but it's gotten late tonight and I'm tired so here's just a couple of pics of Riley from last summer when he thought he was Napoleon Dynamite.








Riley would go around the house saying things like, "I don't feel like I do, gosh!" and "Freakin' idiot!" (That's what happens to 4 year olds when teenage boys live with them and they watch Napoleon Dynamite in the car over and over.) One night, most of us had just finished eating dinner and were cleaning up but Riley was still at the table. I turned to ask him if he was almost done and I found him putting tater tots in his pocket. For real.
