We love Mister Ed....

Mister Ed's is a local candy and fudge shop that loves to bless the community through Easter Egg Hunts, Petting Zoo's and a free museum that boasts an amazing collection of elephants from all over the world! This past weekend he hosted a petting zoo and the kids were so excited to visit. Even though he has famous candy and fudge I believe the secret of his success is his love of people. Thanks Mister Ed!!

One more day...

One more day and our house will have another bouncing boy running around in it! We are so excited to meet Juan. He is travelling the whole way from New York City to stay with us for 7 days. He is part of the Fresh Air Fund that matches inner city kids to host families so they can experience life in the country. We have big plans to show him our world and can't wait to see his face when he sees fireflies for the first time or hears the woodpecker pounding his head on our trees. LOL! I'm sure it will open a whole new world for him and for us as we experience life through a new set of eyes.

One Adorable Rooster....

Image

Just look at that handsome rooster!
Is he NOT the cutest, most adorable rooster you've ever seen?!

Image

I have no idea why but my sweet boy decided 3 days ago that he wanted to be a rooster.
He has been wearing this outfit pretty much all day.
We had to make a quick run to the store one day and we kept getting comments
about the "chick that escaped the pen"or "I see you have 4 kids and a chicken" LOL!
Oh and just ask him to tell you what a rooster says and it is beyond ADORABLE! :)

That's right, I'm the proud momma of 6 kids and the most adorable little rooster you ever laid eyes on. :)

My sweet baby...

Yesterday was Nolan Elijah's 5th "Gotcha Day"! Such a wonder that it's been that long. I can still remember all the drama that led up to his homecoming. So very thankful God chose this priceless treasure for our family!!

We had big plans for the day....visit the local park...then the library...and then picnic in our yard for lunch. However, they were all cut short quickly by Samuel waking up with a fever and the inside of his nose very swollen. Not too long after breakfast as I was trying to work on our finicky pool (and praying for a miracle that we could swim in it this season!) Nolan was sobbing and holding his hand. After a few minutes it was ascertained that he was stung by a yellow jacket or a hornet. I have no idea how many times but within minutes his finger was huge! Then his sweet little hand followed looking like the skin was going to burst it was soooo swollen. I gave him B*nadryl and watched him closely hoping we wouldn't have to head to the ER again like we did last summer. Fast forward to this morning....he walks downstairs and his eyes are almost swollen closed and his little face so puffy. :( Poor little guy. He's such a good sport though, he hasn't complained beyond his fingers hurting when he tries to bend them. The fingers are less swollen, the hand is still pretty big, the wrist and arm are still a bit puffy but he's running, laughing and eating so all is well. We've prayed over him telling the poison to be gone and it is leaving!

Nolan said yesterday the bee was saying "gotcha" to Nolan too. LOL!
Happy, happy "Gotcha Day" to our precious Nolan!

Sean...

How it all started almost 24 years ago....

Image

and just look at us now Sean! God picked so good for me when He brought you into my life. I am so thankful, so very, very thankful that you are the father of my babes (all 7 of them!) You are a man of integrity and character, a faithful husband, and an amazing daddy (or pop as the oldest ones call you)!

Saint Francis of Assisi is famous for the quote, "Preach the gospel always and if necessary, use words". That's you Sean. You speak your heart through your life, you love, your dedication. You are my best friend and I am so grateful to have you journey this path of life by my side. Happy, happy Father's Day!
YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
