When I put Rylynn to bed, either for a nap or for the night, I sing songs with Rylynn. We do one "silly song" and then we do quiet songs (usually primary songs).
The other day, I noticed that Rylynn was doing the actions to "Once There Was A Snowman" all by herself, so we sang the song. I kept going and tried "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Popcorn Popping". I had to record her doing them.
We had so much fun this year with Halloween, starting with visiting a pumpkin patch with Cousin Lexi.
I'm not sure what happened (maybe all the rain we got in October) but our pumpkin was starting to go rotten when we went to carve it. So, instead of carving it, I had Rylynn draw on it with my scrapbooking markers.
For Halloween, Rylynn was Supergirl. She still doesn't quite understand what Trick-or-Treating is, but she did go up and down our entire street this year.
Supergirl has to watch "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" before going Trick-or-Treating.
This summer, we took a trip with the Bettridge clan to Dollywood. I'll admit, I wasn't too trilled with a plane ride with Rylynn, but she did very well. Here are some of the highlights.
The first night, we stayed at a hotel in Knoxville before going on to Gatlinburg to meet up with the rest of the family. Mallory and her family stayed at the same hotel, so we were able to hang out with them.

One of the things we did is go to the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. It was a very interesting tour. Seeing all the various items they had was fascinating.
One thing they did have there was one of the violins that belonged to one of the band members on the ship. It was on loan to the museum. It was one of the violins that played as the Titanic was going down. Normally, they don't allow photography in the museum, but they were allowing only photos being taken of that violin.
There's an episode of "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" that Rylynn was watching the other day, and she was mimicking one of the sounds they were making. I had to video it. She's slowly making progress on her speech and it's been a lot of fun to watch.
