What A Year It's Been!

Image

Image

Personally, it's been a year of highs and lows. A high was the wedding of Sarah and Dave! The deepest low was the death of our dear friend, Rick. As Christians, we know he's with the Lord and that we'll see him again. But for now, our hearts miss him deeply.

We became empty nesters this year, when these two moved out.

Now we have my parents with us in their inlaw suite of rooms, but as parents we no longer have kids in the home.

We took two trips to the Nashville area this year to see our daughter and her family, we went to Michigan for a long weekend to see family, we took a trip to Florida to be with dear ones after Rick's death. We took several day trips, hosted Tim's sister and brother in law on their way to the Upstate of New York.

I hosted friends for tea and a movie afternoons, Rachel and I hosted a Christmas Tea.

Now, it's the end of the year.

Politically it's been quite a year, too!

Merry Christmas!

We had a lot of festive fun the last several weeks. We went to a Christmas show at the American Music Theater with my parents, went to see light displays several times, went out to dinner, wrapped presents, including our Christmas Eve birthday boy (Tim) and New Year's Day girl's (Lindsay) gifts.

We had a big birthday gathering this year for Tim. He reached a milestone birthday (60) and we enjoyed our time with friends and family celebrating this amazing guy! (Next week is our anniversary)

I dipped pretzel's in chocolate and sprinkles for the neighbors, made gingerbread houses with the grands, made paperbag snowflakes/stars.

Oh, and we drank eggnog out of my silver punch cups!

This season is always full of special church services, time with friends, and rejoicing in our savior's birth!

I hope you found ways to celebrate his coming. It's the most significant event in history! God became man to redeem us from sin.

What a gift!

A warm up came and we are getting lots of rain. This is how we started the week...

Image

I'd rather have the warm up and rain!

Christmas is so close now, and I am just about done with gifts. Just a visit to a cheese shoppe for my new son in law, and a second something for his darling wife.

Did you watch the Presidents address to the nation? Sad that they had to act like he might be declaring war to get the msm to air his speech.

Here are some interesting things I saved to share with you.

There is so much going on in our nation and the world. It is easy to get overwhelmed! I encourage you to take breaks from the news, and to take time to focus on the REASON for the SEASON which is Jesus!

Remember, Jesus came to redeem mankind from sin, and hopelessness. It's a spiritual battle still, though the enemy is a defeated enemy.

Snow and A Christmas Tea

Image

We got a real snow storm Saturday night into Sunday morning. Six inches. The only problem is how cold it is! Right now it's 21 degrees out with a real feel of 9 degrees! Tim is out working in this right now!

Our church was cancelled, due to unplowed roads, but by afternoon most every where was plowed. It did get windy and drifty but tea time but those who came had vehicles that could handle a little snow on the roads.

Rachel took a few pictures before we started. We did the food in courses.

I took a few photos during the tea.

It was great fun. I've been wanting to host a Christmas tea for a few years and this year it worked out beautifully!

I am thankful Rachel was happy to cohost the tea! Fun all around!

Is it looking Christmasy at your home? It is at mine, even though this photo is from last year! I'll try to get photos this weekend! Rachel and I are hosting a Christmas Tea on Sunday afternoon!

Lots of good news today! Don't give into the discouragement that many would like you to have!

Thank God! Tina Peters is nearly 80 years old, didn't not commit a crime and has been rejected over and over to be put in a safe prison, but Colorado keeps rejecting that. This in spite of the fact that she has been attacked over and over again! This week "for her safety" they moved her back to solitary confinement!

This election stuff must come out because innocent people got treated badly by those doing the fraud.

However, they were back at the Epstein stuff today with the release of 95,000 photos. Of those there were 4 of Trump. They did black out the faces of the young women he is photographed with to make everyone think they must be underage.
