October Equals Busy

I LOVE October but I have to take it one day at a time or I get overwhelmed. We have had lots of cool things happen lately. A couple weeks ago I learned that I have a cousin that lives in Guthrie, OK. That's so close to us in Stillwater. My grandpa Richard H. LeDosquet is brothers with my cousin's grandpa Jack LeDosquet. My dad is friends with Jennifer LeDosquet Wood on Facebook and found out she lived so close to us. I have been in contact with her and I'm excited to meet her. She sent me this picture of a card to her from my Grandpa LeDosquet. So cool!

Max turned 5 months Oct 10. He is rolling from his back to his belly. He loves his feel and just started sucking is toes October 10th. He grabs things, loves to jump in his jumperoo. He's starting to love toys. He naps less and wants more of my attention. I'm glad I have him to help me slow down a little. I need the sweet breaks.

Recent Levi quotes "Chillax, don't have a cow!" When I was gently scolding him for something "So, I made an accident!" Haha. "Knock knock. Who's there? The banana that lost his underwear." He is always saying stuff to make us laugh. I'm going to keep better track of his silliness.

Saturday I had stake meetings at the church. Max and I went to that while everyone else partied. They went to doughnuts, the wondertorium, to Dad's office and then to a birthday party at McDonalds. Matt took them to the park while I rested. That night we went on a family date to Braums. It so starting to feel like fall around here. At some point in the last few weeks the kiddos got their very own library cards. Lily is especially excited. We have a lot of reading to do in first grade.

This is so exciting! Danny is officially engaged to Janet Hanks. We are so excited to get to know her better. Everyone is looking forward to our Idaho/ Utah trip to celebrate the occasion.

Matt traveled this past weekend to Atlanta, Georgia and visited Georgia Tech to attend  a conference. October is full of trips for him. He arrived home last night and I've hardly seen him. He has a busy day ahead.

Here's  a sweet photo just because. I love that he feel asleep on me like this. It reminds me of the newborn stage. I'm in love. This weekend is fall break and we are headed to Branson, MO.

Toothless wonder and cake

This week has gone by quickly. Monday, the kids didn't have school. We had a YW presidency meeting playdate. It was a great reminder of why we usually have presidency meetings at the church without kids. The rest of the week has been wonderful. I love hanging out with these kiddos. Wednesday, I was able to make a cake for a cute new Beehive. I'm so excited to get more YW in our ward.

I obviously stole this from Instagram. Becky was so sweet to take our picture together.

Matt went to Springfield yesterday and is there right now. This is one photo we sent to him last night. Max and I went outside to check on Lily and Levi who were playing in the sand and dirt. The wind was blowing directly in our faces as I took this photo. That might explain Max's expression. He had fresh spit up on his shirt; which is why he's not wearing a shirt.

Lily loves to hold her brother.

This is from this morning. Max and I went on a long walk with my friend Becky. She is a wonderful friend and I'm so lucky to have her a a neighbor.

The big news of the week is that Lily's took finally came out. Last night she came into my room around 1am. Before she climbed in bed with me, I asked if she would please turn on the fan. She was happy to do so. As she was turning on the fan her tooth just came right out. She was so exciting and had a hard time getting back to sleep. The tooth fairy didn't come but I'm sure she'll come tonight.

Matt sent me this pick of his room. Lil was so jealous that he gets to stay at the same place we stayed when we went to Springfield. He got a room with a king size bed all to himself. I'm excited to hear more about the trip :). I thankful for a good week and a happy healthy family.

This Little Piggy

All of these pictures except the last one are from today. This week has flown by. Nothing too noteworthy. Yesterday we had Roto Rooter come. Today my friend/neighbor Courtney invited Max and me to go to Adorable Affordables with her and her sweet little girl. It is a consignment sale at the Payne county fair ground expo center. I was able to go a couple years ago. They have some really great deals. Today I got a jumperoo for Max. So far he loves it. Levi got an OSU sweatshirt and Max got a little OSU shirt. Lily got a little dress. I'm glad I went.

Football season is a lot of fun in Stillwater. We have plenty of gear for the walk around this year.

Image
Levi has been doing really well in school and I love his teacher for sending home notes with him. He was especially excited about the orange smilie face sticker as orange is his absolutely favorite color right now.
Image
Lily and I love Junie B. Jones. She checked out this library book today and it couldn't be more perfect for her. First grader toothless wonder discribes Lily so well.

I'm sure seeing this pig today was a little tender mercie from The Lord. If anyone knows Levi very well, they know that he is a little comedian. He loves to tell jokes and he finds humor in everything. He and I both cracked up at seeing this pig in our neighborhood after school. We watched the little guy for minutes before he was out of sight. We still look at this picture and laugh. Thanks for bringing a little joy into our lives today little piggy.

My mom sent us a package in the mail last week. Levi received these jammies. I found these similar ones for Max. Closest thing we've had to matching brothers. I'm so thankful for this family of mine. This weekend we are looking forward to seminary breakfast, a play date at Karina's house and the General Women's broadcast.

10/3 Update. The seminary breakfast was so much fun. I took coffee cake. The play date at Karina's was beyond fun for the kids. She served us a huge meal, they painted bird housed, played and put on tatoos. Lily even went back to play on Monday. Too much fun. Then, Friday night we had a fun hot dog roast in the back yard with the Monson's and Scifrices. We watched the Lego Movie and Despicable me on the projector and had a blast! We are excited to do it again soon.

ASHRAE Picnic

Since Matt is the ASHRAE student branch president at OSU, he always puts on the annual picnic. This is at least his third time doing this and he has it down to a Science. It was such an enjoyable night. Levi and Lily played with the kids and even the students. They had a great time. I was able to chat with the ladies there. It was a relaxing enjoyable night. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather as well. I told Matt that I was really proud to be his wife that night :). He has accomplished so much here at OSU and I love seeing him in his element with his colleagues.

Other fun thing this weekend; I was able to go to a Releif Society retreat Friday night. I am so thankful that Matt encouraged me to go because I had such a great time. It was nice to have a break and chat with some really great women. I feel so refreshed and ready to take on a new week :).

Rocket Run 2014

Image
Today was Richmond's annual Rocket Run. Max and I went to watch the kids run. Levi ran a good majority of the time. Lily had a great time running and walking with friends. She even let Max and I walk with her on the last lap.

Image
This was after he ran and some kids got awards. He wanted to go play on the playground which wasn't allowed at the time. I made him sit with me. He was ready for me to leave.
Image
I asked Levi if I could run with him and he said "No Mom! I can do it myself. You stay with Max." Ha. Stinker.

Love this girl. Today her teacher told me that at share time she told about her baby brother, Max. She's such a loving kid!

Image9/20/2014 update. This wonderful picture was in the paper this morning. Luckily Matt glanced at the paper at the store today. We couldn't believe that out of the two pictures Levi was featured in the rocket run story. Our friend Maci is the sweet girl in front of him. Levi is one special boy!

4 month Max feet

Playing with his feet. I'm so proud right now. I remember Lily and Levi playing with their feet and sucking on their toes at 4 months and I've been waiting for this little developmental milestone for Max. I even mentioned it to the doctor because I had lost faith that Max could physically hold his feet due to his adorably large size. He surprised me!! He just did it for the first time and I'm so proud of him. Against all odds he can still play with his feet. I won't expect him to suck on his toes...let's not be overachievers now.

Teeth and 4 month Max

Lily has been working on this loose tooth all summer long. Finally it came out tonight while we were eating dinner with the missionaies. She was excited but stayed composed while we had company. :) Today Max had his 4 month check up and immunizations. He did so well for the shots. The doctor said he looks good. Max weighed in at 23 pounds 6 ounces and is the biggest 4 month old this doctor has ever seen.

Today Levi got some new underwear (Spider-Man and ninja turtles) and a new OSU shirt. He has been getting notes home from his teacher telling me how great he is doing at school. He has learned so much since pre-k has started and we are so proud.  The boys and I also made a Sonic slush run to Matt.
