Craft and Science Saturday

I used boards I found to make these snowmen. Lily helped me paint them during Levi's nap.

Primary is the best place to be on Sunday. I LOVE it! This month in Sharing time we are learning about missionaries, how to prepare and what qualities make a good missionary. My lesson two weeks ago was about how serving others helps us be a good missionary. I gave them a little homework scavenger hunt assignment and promised them something if they did it. I can't believe how many kids brought their paper back to me. This is the little treat that everyone got :) They loved it!

Lily had a little homework assignment from Pre-K. We had to disguise Turkey Tom so that the farmer wouldn't find it and make him the Thanksgiving Day turkey. Lily suggested that we make it Sleeping Beauty like her halloween costume. So that is what we did. P.S. The assignment said that your family was to help, Lily did help a lot.

We had fun with dry ice Saturday also. The bowl by Levi had a big soap bubble over the top. He popped it. We also put some dry ice in root beer, and the kids had some in their bath. It's fun having a Science minded dad.

You've probably seen these on FB but I have to add them to my blog so they can go in my yearly blog book. And there are probably a few you haven't seen. Micah Folsom is such a talented Photographer and we are so lucky to know their family. She travels to Utah, Idaho and Montana several times a year. You can like her page on FB to see when she'll be in your area :). She's really great! Micah Folsom Photography. Now I need to decide which ones I want to display in my house and how.

I would choose this one for my house if it weren't for the kid's faces. I still love it :)

Halloween

Lots of pictures because Halloween tends to be a big deal at our house.

Lily watched me make a lot of Levi's costume during Levi's naps. She was so good at keeping everything a secret from him. I had been working on this since the beginning of September.

This was the ward trunk or treat/ carnival. They had so many fun games for the kids. Lily killed it at this doughnut game. She didn't use her hands at all. There was also a cookie walk, a "scary" maze, bean bag toss, three legged race and face painting. The kids loved everything about it...and so did I. The soups were yummy, the trunk or treat was so much fun and the kids looked so cute.

Halloween night we headed over to the Monson's and Omanson's neighborhood and went trick or treating with our friends. Both kids were pros. Levi only fell apart a few times when we tried to help him situate his bag. He thought we were taking it away. He carried his heavy bag until the end. We walked more than a mile both sides of the streets. Both of these nights were so exciting and exhausting for these two.

Levi's little buddy is Abby and she was the cutest little Tinkerbell. Lily's good friend is Chloe and she was a super cute Merida from Brave. Her red hair was perfect for it :).  Thank heavens Halloween is over and the candy is gone. Levi is has finally not asking to be Joe. He wore his Joe shirt for days.
