Happy 40th anniversary Sesame Street!!

Sweet..look what i found when i was reading TheStar Galaxie blog 2 days ago...

Sesame Street will be celebrating its 40th anniversary and the show producers have enlisted many A-listers to appear in the episodes and to celebrate it in a BIG BANG way.

Even First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to be appearing in it. This is even better than John Mayer appearing in an earlier episode last April.

I can't wait to watch it, even though it may sound childish since i am nearly 2 decades old.Sesame Street is the first tv show I remember watching when I was 5-7. Back then, my fondest Saturday morning memories was waking up at 7 something in the morning just to catch the show at 8 am.

I think the reasons I enjoy the show most because I love puppets and I always imagine them to come alive and interact with us children. And being curious about how overseas housing neighbourhood looks, I was happy when the setting of Sesame Street is the typical brown stone inner city look, complete with metal trash cans, back alley, graffiti…which was very different look from our Malaysian neighbourhood. Later, when I was much older, I got to know that the producers used the setting to reflect the diversity of the neighbourhood: whites, Hispanic, African American and Asians.

Today, i discovered something unexpected when i am using google...

Cute right? Google is using Cookie monster as the logo to Commemorate Sesame Street 40th anniversary.

Sepi

Recently my friend recommend a good Malaysian movie to me. The title name is called Sepi. The concept of this movie is similiar to the Hollywood movie Love Actualy where there are few different stories together and somehow the events are connected to each other in a way.

This movie speak of loss of love, loneliness (sepi in malay means lonely). It is very sad in some parts of the movie but in the end there is Hope to give the characters strength to go through their ordeal. Never give up, letting go of the past to embrace the future and loving someone does not mean you have to be with them are the core structure of the movie.

This movie start local comedian Afdlin Shauki, Tony Eusoff, Pieere Andre and few others whom i am not so sure about their names XD

Before i end this post, there is a very nice poem in the movie i would like to share. The female character wrote it for a play and it is very touching when she recite it in the cafe.

I am so hungry now

These food pics were taken when a friend and I went the Pavillion during the semester break. We had a late lunch at TGI Fridays after our movie.

Food was good and now I am hungry after looking at the pics.LOL. Should have buy something extra to eat at the night market just now when i go to buy my slippers. The fried rice i cook was too little and no ingredients except for eggs  :S

Every team needs a 12th man

Behind every football team, no matter how big or small their acheivements are, there is always the 12th man supporting them, defending their teams when the critics are all over them, and buying those overprice club merchandise (applies only in msia lol..the overprice part)

A footbll club is not a club without its supporters....

No matter how great and successful a player is, he is nothing without his coach, managers,supporters, the kit man, the team doctors and physios..etc those who help me to became the player as he is today.

Lastly, no player is bigger than the club...form is temporary, class is permanent.

I would like to wish a Selamat Hari Raya to all my muslim friends and everyone else around the world that celebrates it. Happy Holidays everyone =)
