well, we are homeowners!
YAHOO!!
we can't take possession yet as the loan has not funded. (stupid legal stuff) But, we should be getting a call any time now telling us it's completely ours!!
All the papers have been signed by both us and the sellers, it's just the mortgage company that is slow. :)
that's it for now. I am in a hurry and need to leave for school. :)
pictures to come!

roll call and shout out!
As per stephanie's request, I am updating. :)
We had a marvelous time over at the Rohloff's house tonight! It was their joint birthday/baby shower bash.. and it was great fun! Stephanie cooked an amazing brisket that everyone loved, and Chris chilled out in his bedroom. (he was very sick, it was so nice of him to let everyone come over at all!) So yeah, we're giving a shout out to the Rohloff's, wonderful hosts, it was so much fun! Thanks for inviting us to share that special occasion with you and your friends!
I also wanted to do a roll call of all friends and family members who are reading this blog! If you all will PLEASE leave a comment on the page from you to let us know that it's being read, and by whom, that'd be great!
So the latest update is that there is a small possibility we may not close on the house on tuesday, but we'll see. We are having faith that it's going to happen, and if not that it's God's will.
Tuesday night we are also headed down to TBHC to take our water safety class. (there's another class too, but I can't remember what it was..duh..) So we'll be a few hours closer to finishing up our foster-adopt license! YAHOO!
Also, I want to encourage you, and ask you to pray for our children. Stephanie and Chris (great mentors!) reminded us that our children are probably alive right now, waiting for a forever home, or maybe they are in a terrible situation and can't imagine a way out of it right now. Please pray that God gives them peace and understanding, and comfort during these difficult times, as their lives cannot be easy, and they may not currently be getting the love they so desperately need.
We love all of you, and are so thankful to have supporting friends and family!

Hey All!!
Hope this new post finds everyone in high spirits and wholly blessed!
a quick update for all you loyal readers out there:
We officially close on the 30th, we will then officially be homeowners!
yeah! Praise the Lord, one step closer to being parents!
After this long hard road, we're so thankful that we are so close to finally being able to be parents. Please pray for peace for us as we wait on Him some more.
We have another class the same night we close, so that should be interesting! I think it's our CPI class.. crisis intervention and prevention. If it's not that its our water safety class. yeah!!!
I can't tell you how excited we are!
My friend Stephanie was asked a while back (as they were finishing up their classes for foster-adopt) in reference to pregnancy, "just how pregnant are you?" Haha.. I think she said something like "my feet are swollen and I am about to pop!" (that's me paraphrasing, so bear with me!)
well, as far as we are concerned, we just found out we are pregnant. we should be parents in about 9 months! yahoo! maybe even sooner, depending on His will.
so, keep checking back, as more updates are to follow, for sure!

hey folks!
just wanted to give y'all an update!
currently we are 2.5 weeks away from closing on our new house! so exciting! we'll be having a party the first week in december or so, so keep your schedule open!
we are taking our PRIDE classes in November, for our foster-adopt program. we will then have about 4-5 more classes to take before our homestudy, then we'll be done. we're now hoping to be done with classes around january (it's taking longer because I'm in school full time and work almost full time!) and then have our homestudy in february or march, then have our first placement 4-5 months later, right as I'm finishing up school! yeah!!! wooo hooo!! so in the mean time, we're working on accumulating stuff for the baby/toddler, so if you've got anything you want to send over, let us know!!
currently we have most of the big stuff.
we are still in need of:
convertible carseat
light weight stroller
changing table/pad
baby swing
toys
books
bottles
clothes
bibs
etc.
anyway,
Baron's parents are here in town, and we are having a blast, I gotta make him a key lime pie tonight for his b-day!!
I'll update more soon!
