The Big Brother is working on a project for school. He is a joker extraordinaire, so we always get funny questions and comments out of him, like this:
BB: “You know who the atom bomb is named after?”
Me: Atom
Natalie: Adam who?
She fell right into his pun.
Insomnia?
It is 10:00 p.m. I walk past my daughter’s room on my way to bed. I hear talking… Not sleep talking. Conversational chatter. I peek in, “Natalie! You are still awake?!” I am genuinely shocked as she normally falls asleep by 8:30.
Her reply, “No I’m not. I’m asleep!”
I say, “No you’re not! You are talking to me!”
Indignantly she tells me, “Mom! I’m reading a book!”
Teenagers.
