New Cards

One of my greatest crafting loves is creating cards, making cards allows me to try new ideas, techniques, products, and tools. I love that it is a small canvas on which I can pretty much create anything I want, allowing me to express my creativity to the fullest. When I began my paper crafting journey many years ago I had planned to mostly focus on scrapbooking but now it has taken so many different directions, including mixed media and bible journaling as well as cardmaking, scrapbooking and 3D paper crafting. Here are a few cards I did before Easter so all of them are faith based.

T-Shirts

This is a new project I've gotten into lately, T-shirt Décor. I have to admit this is one of my favorite, and I do so many different crafts and projects. I know I've neglected my blog lately, life has kept me so busy, hopefully I'll take more time to post projects. I keep my facebook pretty up to date, but forget about my poor blog.

Reach for the Stars card

I was organizing in my craft room the other day and happened to noticed that my baby card stash was deprived of baby boy cards, imagine that, it's like I wasn't an active card maker, LOL.
So I sat down and created a couple of cards, and for once even I will admit that they turned out just like I wanted them to, super cute,
Image
I used papers from DCWV's Sweet and Sassy stack for this card, as well as the April sketch for the DCWV challenges, The card base is also from a DCWV card set called Neutrals, I embossed the front with a sizzix embossing folder and swiped some gold ink over the raised parts, the gold mats are cut from the DCWV glitter stack, and the little bear is cute using Recollections cardstock and a cutting file from Little scraps of Heaven Designs. I Die-cut the bookplate with my stamped sentiment with a sizzix die and my cuddlebug, and used brads to finish.

Gift box and tag

I just love little boxes, I don`t know why but small containers always seem so cute, and I just love how adorable this little box turned out. It`s only about 2x2+ in size.
Image
I used black `My Minds Eye`paper for the box, it has a raised diamond print, but you can`t see it on the picture, Recollections cardstock for the tag and flower and metallic poster board from the dollar store for the designs. The box is cut using a box shape in Cricut Design Space, the flourishes are cut from the `Storybook`Cartridge and the tag is cut from the `Lacy Labels`cartridge. The Lucky phrase is from the `Create a Critter` cartridge.

I created the little rose using my Fiskar heart punch and rolled the hearts into a rose shape,
