Avah was Snow White this year which was Kacie's old costume. She did not actually know who Snow White was though but all it took was watching a commercial for Disney princess' and I showed her who Snow White was and then I showed her the costume and she was instantly hooked. She told me "I take this with me" and she carried her costume everywhere, even in the car. She had a great time tonight trick or treating too!

UPDATE
Oh my is she sweet. She is always climbing up and curling up in my lap. She often gives the most sweetest kisses on my cheek. When she sees me across the room or even a table, she will give me this sweet little wave or sometimes she will wave with both hands... that is when my heart melts. She has been home now for 16 months and she is loving it. She is almost always happy and laughing. She is talking so much, especially if she is happy! She loves telling me what Kacie (Ce Ce) is doing or what Ce Ce said. Speaking of Ce Ce, the two of them are always hanging out together. Kacie is always saying, "come on Avah" and the two of them go down to the playroom, play babies, play tea party, play board games, or just close the closet door and laugh hysterically:).
Avah is also really loving school. Every morning when I go wake her up she jumps out of her bed and eagerly gets ready for school. She jumps up excitedly as we watch for her van to show up and out the door she goes, all so easily! She had her first conference at school and she is doing well. Her teachers are amazed at her letter recognition and printing ability. She does write her name pretty well as well as other letters:) She just loves letters and numbers. She loves telling her families ages when asked.
Things are just going so well. The pain of what she went through over a year ago seems to be fading fast. I have to really try to remember hard how difficult it was to work through her grief and fears. I am so thankful that she is truly healing. She was just so broken at one time and I am so thankful that those memories are becoming just memories.
Even though I am happy she is healing I still do not want to forget entirely the pain she went through. It is an important part of her story and I know one day she will hang on every word as I describe to her the little girl she used to be. Difficult yes but still so important.
This wednesday, on Halloween, Avah will dress up as Snow White (Kacie's old costume) . The problem was she did not know who snow white was (never watched it yet) so I showed her a picture and that's all it took. She fell in love with the idea and with the dress costume. She even told me "I want to take it with me" (in the car) when we had to run an errand...how could I say no to that ? Anyway, she is so excited about Halloween coming up as are Kaden and Kacie too:)

Avah is 3 1/2 Years Old!
Avah still just loves playing with her babies. She does not have a favorite, she loves them all. She treats them just like they were real. It is absolutely precious.

Happy Chuseok! Korean Thanksgiving
We enjoyed a Saturday out at a park to celebrate Chuseok, a Korean holiday. The Korean Society of Kansas City invited adopted families to join them. There were games, friends and Korean food!
