happy birthday, sammy!

dear sammy jo jo,

you're three!! i can't believe my little girl is another year older. you'll be starting preschool in august and i just can't believe it. you can be the sweetest little girl. however, you are a spicy lil girl too. your big brown eyes can get you just about anything you want. it's a problem :)

right now, you are obsessed with the movie Frozen. you sing "let it go!" at the top of your lungs. it's adorable. you have an inflatable horse that you call sparky. you also have a dog that you named Catapup. we have no clue where you came up with that name. but, you love him.

you're still a daddy's girl. you love to ride in his pick-up truck and go to the co-op. those trips usually mean a stop at the donut shop too.

you got a new john deere chair, hat and book for your birthday. your big present was a new bike. of course, your dad wasn't going to by a pink bike...so, you got a black and lime green bike. he was extremely close to buying you a dirt bike. thank goodness i was there with him to help him in making the right choice.

i love you so much, sammy jo. i never thought i could love a little girl so much. you are a ball of fire and we all just adore you. jack is still your best friend...even though the two of you fight like you can't even imagine. just today, you said you wanted to be like jack. you can talk him into doing just about anything for you. i know you drive him bonkers, but he has a soft spot for you.

i love watching you grow, sammy. you're a hilarious little girl. i look forward to watching you become something so amazing. you are so independent. big things await you, pretty girl.

i love you so much, sammy. i'm so glad you are ours forever.

love,

mommy

jensen may fleming

she's here!! we had a baby girl! jensen may fleming was born on march 24, 2014 at 10:50 am. she weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. it seemed as though this was the never ending pregnancy. my other two kids came early between 37-38 weeks. not this sweet little girl. her due date was march 31st. i had a scheduled induction on march 24th. i was certain i would have this baby before then. clearly, she had other plans.

the entire delivery happened so fast. i still can't wrap my head around it. we walked through labor and delivery around 7:15 am. by the time they got me situated and started the Pitocin it was probably around 8:15-8:30 am .  i swear they were still asking me questions and finishing up paperwork by the time i was ready to push. farmer and i were prepared for a long day of labor. we had magazines and cards to help pass the time along. i have yet to even look at those magazines.

jensen has a head full of dark hair. she looks nothing like her siblings. she looks like her dad. we all love her to pieces...even jack who was praying for a brother. however, the second he saw her he said, "oh hi, buddy! i love you!" he's hooked! sammy was excited to hold her. however, Jensen started crying and it scared her. she was over it pretty quick.

we are so excited to have jensen be apart of our family. right now, we are trying to adjust to a new baby and a new schedule. it's all worth it, though.

jack turns seven

dear jack,

seven. really? why'd you do it? you never even asked. if you had, i would have said, "absolutely not! no way! you have to be kidding! are you really asking? you're insane!" however, once again, no one asked me...and you turned another year older. i'm beginning to think you enjoy seeing me in pain. i do not like knowing you're growing up. it makes me sick. it gives me anxiety. i just want to keep you little.

i can't believe it's been seven years since that first morning i met you. you stole my heart from that very moment. you've had it ever since.

you like to act like you're a teenager. you like to talk like one at times too. but, you're still a momma's boy. you still run and give me a hug after school...in front of you friends! gasp! we have to our bedtime routine which is my favorite. we tell each other how much we love them. you can make it go on forever....you make it hard to leave your room, stinker.

i have absolutely loved every second with you. watching you grow and discovering the world all over again through your eyes.

you are the funniest guy ever. it's not just something i say. you truly are hilarious. thank you, jack, for always putting a smile on my face. you'll always be mommy's little buddy.

i hope you had the best day ever.

i love you, jack.

love, mommy

dear sammy jo jo,

i can't believe you are two years old. it boggles my mind. i have to say that you are absolutely hilarious. you march to the beat of your own drum. you won't be rushed. you do things at sammy's pace. as much as i try to doll you up...you are still a tomboy. you want to be outside on the tractors, picking up rocks, working on race cars, and playing in the mud. i love it. i love everything about you. you've managed to steal my heart, little girl.

you are a daddy's girl. you constantly want to know what daddy is doing. your face lights up when you see him pull in the drive. he is your hero. your most favorite thing to do with daddy is to feed the cows. you have a weird obsession with cows. you love them.

you look up to your big brother, jack. you want everything he has and wants to do everything he's doing. it drives him crazy. however, i think secretly he kind of likes it. he gives you the best horsey rides. you can almost talk whine your way into getting him to give you whatever you want. and when he gives in, he always makes sure to let you know how lucky you are to have him as your big brother. i know he loves you very much.

you are my little sidekick everyday. you help me put all the laundry in the wash...one sock at a time. you want to tell me whose clothes are whose. you like to help me put the dishes away too. you're super helpful with my chores. however, when it comes time to pick up your toys, you're no where to be found. i love you so much, sammy jo. it's been two years and i still can't believe i have a little girl. you are so incredibly special to mommy. i look forward to watching you grow and to see the many adventures you go on. you won't sit still. you're a mover. you are going to do great things, sammy.

always remember that we all love you.

happy birthday, sweet girl!!

love, mommy

you saw this helmet at the store and refused to take it off. i did all the shopping with you wearing that helmet. yes, people stared. they thought you were hilarious, of course.

so embarrassing...

okay...so every year jack wraps up presents for everyone. he just finds things around the house and puts them in a box. while i was making dinner i saw him put a present under the tree. he was so excited! i couldn't figure out what in the world was taped to it. i finally went over to check it out...ky. nice. i guess i need to start locking my bedroom door.

daddy/daughter day

sammy spent the day with her dad, alivia and will. judging by the look on her face it seems like it was a fun day. poor jack missed out...stinks to be in school all day.

sammy is obsessed with riding in the gator and feeding the cows. i'm sure she was in heaven doing both that day. she is so funny. she would stay outside all day if we'd let her. she doesn't care how cold it is. that girl wants to be outside.
