The Tooth Fairy and the Princess :)

Our princess has set the record for the youngest Cavender kid to receive a visit from the Tooth Fairy. Over the past week, two of Catherine's teeth have become very loose. She was initially very upset about this, but once she realized that she got a purple tooth pillow and a visit from the renowned Tooth Fairy, she was willing to let that tooth go! Congrats baby girl!

Overheard in our House

Catherine: (referring to a family with 2 kids) "They have a short family."
James: "Yeah, and we have a loooong family."

I complimented James on what a great day he had and how proud I was of his behavior. He looked at me with his million dollar smile and said, "Let's do it again sometime!"

James saw a convertible drive by and said "Hey! That car doesn't have a lid!"

There was a fly in our house and it was driving me crazy. Andrew rolled up today's unread newspaper and said, "Dad's not going to be happy, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do." 

James and Catherine are 4!!

So hard to believe that James and Catherine are 4! To celebrate, we invited neighborhood kids to come enjoy cupcakes in the yard. When I asked who they wanted to come, James and Catherine named several of Will and Andrew's friends! I had to remind them that it was their birthday and they could invite their friends.

Lots of kids came and played in the backyard (mostly with the waterhose!!) and enjoyed snacks and cupcakes.

It was a great day!!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we were lucky enough to "fly South" to be with family for the week.

This was my first trip with the kids by myself and they were rock stars! Catherine was Little Miss Independent and insisted on carrying her own luggage. That's my girl!

We took up almost the whole row on the airplane. Well, all but one seat that was occupied by this lucky guy shooting us some looks.

We were able to spend time in both MS and AL and were able to see lots of family and friends.

We visited Brooks and Mary Raines for lunch at school.

Had lots of family over for Thanksgiving

 

We love every chance we have to see all of our great family!!

Andrew Turns SEVEN!

Our happy guy turned SEVEN today! For his birthday, he asked if several of his friends could get together at a special field in our town and play baseball. His friends were happy to join and the guys had a great day of a baseball game, homerun derby, hot dogs, popcorn and cake.

Andrew brings us such joy each and every day. It was a blast celebrating him on his big day!
