| Miriam with her penguin |
Miriam broke her arm last month while jumping on the trampoline. It broke above her elbow and required surgery to realign the bones and pin them together. She had a softer cast for a week to allow the swelling to go down and then got her hard cast last week. She only has to wear the hard cast for two weeks.
When they took an x-ray of her arm before they put the hard cast on, you could already see the bone growth that had happened within a week. It's a blessing if you break a bone when you're young to have it grow back so quickly.
 |
| Our ward Primary (church children's class) made her a card and all the children and teachers signed it for her. |
She is doing very well under the circumstances and it's nice to have the hard cast because it helps her to do more things without assistance. We are very grateful to the doctors and nurses at the
BYU Student Health Center and especially at
Primary Children's Medical Center for making a tough experience the best it could be. We are also very grateful for kind family and friends who helped us out through service and prayers during this time. Thank you all!
