I've always want to blog about my awesome trip to Melbourne with Alicia :)
HERE GOES!

This is the first time ever I go overseas ALONE. The feeling is quite peculiar. Like a mixed between excitement, nervousness and maybe a little scared, anticipation, and of course, love. Definitely one of the most peculiar feelings I've ever experienced.
If you called that butterflies in the stomach, I think I've got alot of species in mine.
Awesome huh?
Anyways, my flight reached an hour earlier. How nice! But I lost sight of my luggage.
Always been used to the usual luggage that I used, this time I used a new one.
Therefore I forgot how it looks like, and was looking out for the WRONG colour.
Nonetheless, the airport staff has some awesome memory and she RECALLED seeing my luggage with CHNG tagged on it, and she recalled the EXACT colour.
Nice?
So, instead of going out an hour early, I went out at the estimated time.
Great!
The moment I stepped out of the airport, I can SMELL IT.
The scent of MELBOURNE.
So different from Singapore.
Not forgetting, the cold temperature.
Lucky for me, I was quite well prepared to wear alot of layers on the plane before I arrived at Melbourne.
Truly, truly an amazing sight to see in Melbourne.
Building, streets, posts, shops, people and scenery.
Its really a sight to behold.
I wish Singapore have enough land to make things look so less cramped.
The infrastructures I mean.
Culture there is also very different.
Quite extreme I would say,
When you meet nice people, they are really nice and friendly.
However, if you see nasty ones, they're as nasty as...
Well, rats.
Still, its a nice place to chill, definitely.
With booze and wines cheaper than plain water,
And food twice the portion of what we asians eat,
Its totally like...
Different.
I've gone to Melbourne and back!It certainly is a sight to see. And its really FOOD GALORE!

Back to my schedule there,
My first day was quite relaxed.
The first meal I had there was a toasted sandwich at some shop nearby.
Cosy little shop, warm and friendly staff.
And quite tasty food.
One thing about the cold,
The warmth reached my stomach well.
After reaching the apartment, I went into a short, but DEEP slumber.
Gosh can't sleep well in the plane man.
Keep waking up time and again.
My LUNCH!
ASIAN FOOD HAHAA.
I know I know.
Still I want to see how does it look like here.
Its big Big BIg BIG!
And tasty.
Why does asian food taste better overseas?
I think its all in the mind.
After lunch, did some minor, MINOR groceries.
*Ahem(TIMTAM) Ahem*
After getting some snacks, went to Alicia's friends place to chill.
Played CITADEL, which I got totally OWNED by one of her friend.
After that I played WII!
It was really fun and enjoyable.
And home cooked dinner after that is definitely a good way to end the night.
They continued watching movie, while me and Alicia left for our sweet time alone :)

Second day COMMENCE!
Firstly, WE OVERSLEPT FOR CHURCH.
And Alicia intro me to this AWESOME CHURROS~!
Which I was totally hooked to it and LOVE IT to the max.
Churros churros!!
One of my new love for food.
I WANT TO OPEN A CHURROS SHOP TOO!
We spend our afternoon walking around the city, going into random shops that we feel like going into.
The service there is at a totally whole new level.
Their staffs are so friendly that you might be thinking this person is too SIAO ON in Singapore.
Most of the stuff I bought are....
RED ROCK DELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!
And TIM TAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMS!
I had one of the most awesome fish and chips ever in SEASALT.
I love the fries there.
Its not tasty because its SALTED.
Its tasty because of some other spice.
I don't know what it is though.
Seriously, the food in Melbourne made me go bonkers.
Totally.
And yet someone says NOT UP TO STANDARD.
What a golden tongue HAHAHA!
And she totally love to feed those FAT LITTLE BIRDS!
You know Singapore have those small little brown birds?
Melbourne has those kind of birds, grey in colour, and totally ROUND AND FAT!
Arghh so damn cute hahahaha!
After lunch, we went to shop for more *groceries* at BigW!
We also went to look at our tour trips! We booked the one for SKIING first!
LASTLY! WE HAD CHIPS FOR DINNER!! Red rock deli FTW!
When the magic goes awry, the night falls short of the magical way.

On the 11th, I was suppose to go work with bwurbwur, but apparently I slept through and she didn't wake me up! :(
Maybe she did,
But I was knocked out somehow.
So after she knock off around 1-2 hours later, we had our breakfast at home!
Timtams and cornflakes!
Walked around city in the morning, and booked our tickets for the PENGUIN ISLAND TOUR!
We had firewood cooked pizza for lunch at PAPA GINO.
And I almost walked out without paying, and tio suan :(
Went to Melbourne Gaol after lunch.
Had a look at what lockup used to look like in Melbourne.
Apparently the lockup still looks similar to the old ones.
Just that maybe its more spacious and has better amenities.
After the visit at Gaol, I tried the KFC there.
In my super accurate opinion,
I bet its nicer than Singapore's KFC ahhahaa!
Went to see Alicia play vb after KFC.
I felt so cold there.
Seeing them play, makes me itch.
But I can't play hahaha.
And when we went home, once again, we had chips for supper, watched Glee and go to SLEEEEEP!

Okay this time, I WOKE UP and accompany sotong to work! Yes!
After her work, had 9 sticks of CHURROS!
But my chocolate dips froze before I could finish them.
Told you I'm addicted to it.
Due to FATIGUE,
we went home for a SHORT SHORT nap.
And it was totally cool!
Because we OVERNAPPED.
Yes! We did!
Overnapped for the Philip Island trip!
The penguin island!
Taking long hours of bus ride, we reached CHURCHHILL FARM!
Wonderful exposure I would say.
The greens, the blues, the land and the sky.
Really, it depicts the serenity of the place.
At the farm, I saw how the blacksmith works, and how they shear the BAAAAAAABAAAAA!
It was really fun!
I even get to see rooster coming to me for my TICTAC.
Dumb bird hehehe.
We saw how the shepherd dogs chase the sheeps! So cool!
I want a dog more than ever now.
Like really really alot more haha!
But when I think about it, I don't have sheeps to herd lol.
AND AND!!
I saw GIANT TURKEYS JUMPING OVER THE FENCE!
OMG.
Boy am I glad that a ROOSTER came for my tictac bait instead if the TURKEY.
Imagine how ugly it will turn if the turkey came after me.
It'll turn into a BIRD BRAWL!
The next spot we go to, was the homes for the KOALAS!
Cute little furballs, but they're all hibernating on the trees.
Only a handful of them are awake.
And I saw this bird which initially I thought was a PENGUIN because of the colour.
But it flew, so, yes, its not a penguin.
The koala area was a short stay, obviously because they are all sleeping.
After that we went to this place, supposedly should be able to see SEALS.
But its not the season for them to appear yet.
So stayed for less than half an hour before we left for the main attraction.
THE PENGUIN BEACH!
Australia is known to have many penguin beaches around.
But due to human activities and some natural calamities, many of these penguin beaches actually got destroyed, die off.
Such a pity.
Anyway, I didn't take any pictures of the penguins at the beach because penguins are sensitive to infra-red. So normal cameras will cause distress to them.
Hence I shall burn those images into my brain, through my very own eyes.
The penguins are damn small and cute!
Me and Alicia are camping at the holes of the penguins when a kangaroo jumped past.
I thought penguins can really fly hahaha!
After the penguins have all beached, we went back to the bus,and go back home. It was pretty late by then.
But we went to this famous chinese shanghai restaurant, where I had zha jiang mian, and Alicia had fried nian gao! As recommended by Alicia, and as expected of her recommendation, the food is quite awesome!
After dinner means HOME SWEET HOME!
And yet another adventurous day unfolds!

Early in the morning GO SKIING!
Yes today is the Mt Buller trip!
Take SUPER long hours bus to the mountain top.
It felt like taking double the trip to philip island.
This is the first time I've ever seen SNOW!
Not as pretty as what you see in the movies, but still,
Its awesomeeeee!!
Snowing is like raining ice man.
I can feel the ice hitting hard on my face when the chilly winds blows.
Somehow, snow city feels like real snow to be, ice shavings.
Sitting on the chair up the mountain top was really fun.
Despite the ice smearing all over my face, hurting like some nuts.
Still, with Alicia beside me, I really do feel the warmth :)
Atop Mt Buller, you can't see far at all.
Everything seems so fogged up!
And hence, our skiing lesson starts!
For the record, I fell twice lol.
After the morning session of practice skiing, we went down to the foot to have lunch!
And what an awesome lunch we have indeed!
Fluffy pancakes and crunchy nachos.
One of the best meals I ever had there in Melbourne.
The pancakes are really soft and fluffy, and the nachos, combined with all the sauces, taste delicious!
After lunch, we went to make our very own SNOWMAN!!!
Due to time constraint, we re-used a base for our snowman hahahaha!
but at least the head was made ourselves, and so are the finishing touches!
And with my FASHIONABLE dress up for bwurbwub snowman,
IT LOOKS GREAT HAHAHAHA!
Oh and before we left, we saw this really cute snowman made by someone else,
with carrots on it HAHA!
Snapped a quick shot of it and left!
And some noob made alicia fall down :(
And some indi-noob made us both cant skii our way back.
Doing retarded things making everyone feel so inconvenient.
A loooooooooooooooooooooong journey back home!!!
Went to BigW to get some clothes for myself and my mom.
As well as more FOOD for the night.
Hehe as our usual routing,
We SNACKED and WATCHED GLEE and SLEEEEPPP!!!

On the 6th day, we went queen victoria in the morning to buy some stuff.
Namely, stuff I am going to bring back to SG.
And also, while we're shopping around.
This bouncy little sotong bounced around the street, and DROPPED her phone.
The screen was cracked pretty badly, and she's pretty upset about it!
Awwww.
She intro-ed me to her favourite shop, a shop which sells stuff similar to DELIFRANCE.
Bought a chicken pie and a shepherd's pie to eat for breakfast!
Or rather, we tapao-ed home to eat.
After rusing our breakfast, we met Eugene (Alicia's vball friend)
He drove us to play indoor BEACH VB!
The same was uber cold, but super shiok to play in.
Though cold, after playing for awhile, I don't feel the cold anymore.
However, I sure do feel tired.
Its so much harder to move around there compared to SENTOSA.
I think its because the sand was much finer than the one in SG.
After bvb, when we were heading to BigW to exchange my tights, we met up with Sulaiman and Yingsin!
Seems like he's adapting well!
Chatted for awhile and after the departmental store trip, we went back home and put all the stuff down.
Went for a quick dip, and relax in the JACUZZI!!!
Straight after the jacuzzi, we dash into the dry suana room after showering!
Whew it sure is hot in there.
I feel like I'm being grilled hhahahhaa!
Went back home to bathe after that, and we watched RIO!!
Its a nice movie!
I like the fat red bird. LOL!
His rapping very cute hahaha!
After the movie, we turned in for the night!

BREAKFAST TIME!
We heated up one of the pies which we didn't finish.
I think its the shepherds BAAAAie :D
Alicia brought me to DFO!
Which means, IFORGOT.
I think it means direct factory OMMMMMMM.
And I got myself a new bag!
After shopping around for quite the whole morning,
We met up with Alicia's secondary school friends.
Had a small drink session at thousand pounds!
Really nice place to chill.
Love the ambiance, love the beverages there.
Talk for the afternoon, then we met Rachel Fong at stalagcites for dinner!!
The food isn't too bad. And as usual, the portion is BIG.
We actually queued for quite long because I'M TOO HONEST HAHAHA!
Shall not elaborate on that!
And Rachel was really late!
Nonetheless, we finally met up and have our long awaited dinner.
Chatted for quite a long time.
Catch up alot, as well as gossip alot also hahahaha!
Basically we were just sharing how other classmates were.
And how some just disappeared.
And etc etc.........
After dinner, we went home and watched PRINCESS AND THE FROG!
Didn't finish the movie though.
Because we were too sleepy to finish it hahahaha.

I made breakfast in the morning!
Don't think its really nice though.
Just normal EGG with MUSHROOM and CHEESE.
Visited queen victoria to get more stuff back to SG again!
While walking around, we found one store which actually repairs iphone screens!
And at a cheaper price compared to where we asked before.
At the very least, its 2 digits value!
When going home, we passed by this pet shop, and went to take a look.
They sell so many cute puppies and kitties!!
Awwww.
I can't have one. SIGHH!
Left pet store for christian shop.
Where Alicia hunted for some books.
Didn't do much after that.
Stayed at home and watch glee and pack bag.
Time flies, really fast.
And before you know it,
The day ends, even before you can snap your fingers.
Or maybe I didn't try to snap it, that's why.

Quick,
So quick.
Fast.
Damn fast.
I DON'T WANNA GO BACK!
But the day for me to go back is here.
Sigh x10000
I already can't bear to leave already.
Day 9.
Woke up real early to accompany Alicia to her workplace.
After her work has ended,
We went to the departmental store to get JOLENE's stuff.
Timtams and mintpods.
Ate PIEFACE for breakfast!
The pies there are awesome!
And Alicia tapao-ed one chocolate croissant and one pie for me to eat on the plane.
Which I did, because I was starving up there.
Cabbed to airport after our breakfast.
I got hungry right after I reached the airport.
I don't know whats with my voracious appetite ehehehe.
So I ate HUNGRY JACK!
Australia's version of BURGERKING.
Went into the customs soon after, and I'm on my way back to Singapore.
SIGH.

The week past by so quickly.
If only I don't have to serve NS.
Alicia, this week has been really great.
Its not the things that we do, nor the things that we bought together.
Its the times that we spent together.
It may be short-lived,
But I believe our times together will never be short.
When you're back, we have so many things to do together.
I'll be looking forward for the next time I go over, or you come over.
Regardless, please take care of yourself meanwhile, and come back safely.
TCGB!
Love you :)
