Cross Country

We have a birthday boy!

This kid is 16, can you believe it?   What a good looking young man.  I'm so proud of him.  He is always pushing himself much farther than I would encourage him to go.  In fact, this summer, while he was running cross country every day, I often questioned his desire to continue.  He wouldn't give up.  No matter how hard it was or how far it was, he just kept going.  I know he has the drive and ability and maturity and morals to take him really far.

School Starts!

Wow!  I can't believe it is already time for the kids to start school!  We did a pretty good job of crossing things off our Summer Bucket List.  I guess we'll have to save a few things for another time...


Christopher starts middle school, with different teachers and a locker and everything. That means I don't have any more kids in elementary school!  So hard to believe...


Annelise is in 9th grade at the junior high school.  That means she gets to take Seminary!  I'm so excited for her!


Thomas starts high school... Wow... A whole new adventure :)

Fun with the Symes

We got to go spend a few days with the Symes!  Tonya had surgery and needed help with her kids, so I got to hold the baby a lot and change a lot of diapers, do laundry and dishes and cooking and cleaning and helping with the girls.  We had a great time!

Scout Camps, YW Camp, Eagle Project

Great summer fun activities for the kids!  Christopher went to the 11-year-old Scout overnight camp.  Later he was invited to the ward's week-long 12-year-old camp at Island Park...even though he hadn't quite turned 12.  He had a great time at both of them!

Thomas went with the scouts to Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.  They had a great time!  On the 4th of July weekend Thomas made great strides on his Eagle Project.  We had a presentation on Organ Donation Awareness.  Then he had a booth at the city square on the 4th of July.  We are still going to do one more presentation...soon...

Annelise went with the YW to the area by Capitol Reef.  They stayed in a family cabin of someone in the ward.  Another great week!
