Video catch up

These posts are sparse but this is still the easiest way to share videos and these are too cute not to share. They are from about a month ago.

Paige has a “You are my Sunshine” book and we have read/sang it to her since she was tiny. She will find it and bring it to you saying “Sunshine”. Here she is singing it with Brooke.

Whenever we are driving home and Paige is antsy, Brooke will “count down” until we get to our house. She started by counting backward from 10 but I told her she should probably count 1-10 because I didn’t want Paige to learn to count backwards! I’m glad I did because soon Paige was counting right along with her!

Most family has already seen this, but I need to keep track somewhere of some of these milestones 🙂 After breaking her arm when she was 4 on her bike and just being cautious in general, Brooke was slow to learn to ride her bike. She finally got it this summer. Will didn’t want to be left out so he was quick to follow about 2-3 weeks ago!

And of course, Paige wanted to try to!

Karate Kids!

Will has been taking for Tae Kwon Do (we call it karate!) for almost a year now and Brooke started in the fall. They are both really into it and have been working hard to learn their form and earn their new belts. Brooke even said she may want to quit dance next year to “focus on karate”.

Tonight Will got promoted to a junior green belt and Brooke to a high yellow belt. They were both very excited!

walking and talking

Paige has been very busy growing up this last few weeks! We can finally say we have a walker! Around 14 mos Paige started walking more in short little bursts but just this weekend we noticed she is walking more than crawling. She is also talking a ton! She has a lot of words (mama, dada, Brooke, Will, milk, more, all done, thank you, baby, walk, night night, bye bye, Bo, animal sounds…) I can’t think of all of them but she also will try to say/repeat everything and anything! Today she decided she needed to eat with a fork at lunch and dinner (and gave it a pretty good effort). It seems like she is all the suddens so grown up! She also discovered wrestling with daddy, brooke and will this weekend and horsey rides from Brooke. She loves to play ring around the rosies with Brooke and Will also. Its pretty fun having an older brother and sister!

This one is a little dark but you can see her walking. She loves to announce that she is getting ready to walk. She’ll look at you and say “walk?” before starting!

Here’s a good one of her talking. She says “thank you” un-promtped (well, we were trying to prompt her but she beat us to it!)

Her other favorite thing to do is find trash on the floor and throw it away for us 🙂 She gets very proud of herself!

Dino-Soaring!

Snowy Sunday

We got a little bit of snow this Sunday. Paige had a fun looking outside at it while she happen to have a cute outfit on and I wanted to play with my new camera. Brooke and Will got to play outside for a short time in it. (It was COLD)

Paige is in a “ball” stage. She loves to play with any kind of ball she can find! She also loves to say the the word. She is still not walking but is really good at standing in one place!

Talking and Walking

Here are a few videos I took last week. Paige has been talking more and more and will mimic a lot of what we say.

The first one was right after we got home from Brooke and Will’s Karate class. She loves when the teacher takes her before class and lets her hit the punching bags. During the class, she will say

“hi-ya” along with the kids in class!

She also has learned to say “Brooke” and “Will”. It was the sweetest thing, seeing their faces the first time they heard her say their names.

She is still not walking but has started standing in the middle of the floor and taking a few steps, especially when encouraged by big sis!

She has also added two more teeth (top and bottom molar on the right)

1 year old!

This is way overdue as Paige has been a year for almost a month now but need to get this info down so I have it for later!

12 Month stats:

20lbs (55%)

28 3/4″ (50%)

Paige is talking more (mama, dada, night night, and her very favorite word: UH OH). She loves to say uh oh and will do with a ton of expression and holding her mouth in the “OH” shape for extended periods of time! She is not walking but loves to push her toys around and cruise on furniture. She will occasionally stand for a few seconds without holding on. She despises shoes and socks and her favorite activity is to remove them as we are driving anywhere in the car. She quit nursing about a week before she turned one and she quit bottles the day before she turned one. She moved to the toddler room at daycare and loves having more space and new friends to play with. She naps on a cot and sits at the big table with her friends. She is growing up too fast! She loves stuffed animals, especially talking ones. Her favorite toy at daycare is a talking blue dinosaur. They say she goes to it first every day. She loves the 30 (+) year old talking big bird at grandma and grandpas. At home, its the peek-a-boo bear that is a favorite. She is a very cuddly baby and loves to give hugs and kisses and cuddle on laps. (she still has 7 teeth (4 top, 3 bottom)

She continues to be our happy, laid back baby. We can’t believe she is one already but are loving watching her little personality develop.

Fall Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from the last few weeks. I also forgot a few things on her 11 month post (and I need to have somewhere so I remember for her baby book!) Paige loves to brush her hair after her bath or whenever she sees her brush. She will also brush her teeth (which is the only way she’ll let me even get close to brushing them). She still has 5 teeth although I have a feeling by her 12 month post she’ll have 7. There are two that are finally breaking through (we’ve seen them for a while under the surface). She is also into hugging and kissing her stuffed animals, babies and us. She loves to cuddle on anything soft.

Brooke and Will made Paige her very own leaf pile! She was so intrigued by the leaves, I couldn’t get her to look up for a pic! They have “leave hats” in the picture below.

I inadvertently dressed Brooke and Paige in matching clothes the other day so we had to take a picture.

11 Months

11 months

I was so late last month these pictures aren’t much different 🙂 and they are getting harder and harder to take. I can’t believe I only have one more to take before our baby girl is a year old! During the last month Paige has been busing walking with her walker toy, climbing the stairs and trying to keep up with Brooke and Will. She points and says something to what ever she points to (it sounds like “that” (dat) but I don’t know what she’s saying. Sometimes it sounds like “whats dat” too. She will say “moo” when you ask her what the cow says. She loves to eat and loves meat, cheese and carbs. She will eat some fruits but is being picky about veggies lately. She just recently started enjoying yogurt too. I mentioned the singing in the car on my last post and she is still crying in the car for the kids to sing. (They are sick of it and mostly ignore her now. It does get pretty old!). She loves music and dancing.

Brooke got a hair cut tonight so I asked my girl to give her a quick trim. It wasn’t much of a hair cut but she cleaned it up a little. The pictures aren’t great because Brooke was taking them.

And I can’t not put this picture on here. This was a true “photo bomb” as Will jumped into the picture just as I snapped it. I think its my favorite from this month 😉
