Brooke and Will have really enjoyed sharing bath time. I got the video camera out tonight to video Will because he splashes like crazy in the bath tub! It is very hard to get Brooke to perform, especially when she knows you are recording, but she was actually willing to sing a little tonight. The first part of the video is Will splashing and Brooke just being silly. In the second half she is singing Splish Splash (with a little prompting from me {please ignore} and a little distraction on her part) but I’m surprised we were even able to get that much out of her!

The End…
…of the binkie saga…
FINALLY, we have gotten rid of the binkie! This saga started about 1 1/2 years ago (April 2009 to be exact) when we thought Brooke was ready to say bye-bye to her binkie. I laugh when I read that post now…if only it could have been that easy! In summary, we tried to get rid of it right after Brooke turned 2. After about 3 weeks we gave up and it returned. {click the links to read the full story} We talked about trying again when she was about 2 1/2..but then we were potty training, then she had a new baby brother, then we moved, then she started a new preschool, then we weren’t sleeping because of Will (and didn’t want to lose more sleep because of a binkie!)…in other words, there was always a good excuse not to do it. This summer the dentist told us that she had bite changes from sucking it and we should really get rid of it…So, we finally decided this was the weekend…
We didn’t do anything fancy, just told her that she is too old for a binkie and Friday night we were getting rid of it and if she did well she could pick out a new disney movie. She did great! She had a slightly hard time getting to sleep Friday but did great on Saturday. She didn’t want to throw it away, she wanted to “share it with Will” {which is so generous of her considering Will has never wanted anything to do with a binkie!} Today we went and picked out her movie (she wanted Lion King but we couldn’t find it so she got Pocahontas and we ordered Lion King from Amazon…so she gets 2!)
So, hopefully, 1 1/2 years after our initial attempt..we can finally say bye-bye to the binkie FOREVER!!!!
{this has nothing to do with the binkie, but Brooke has been wanting braids in her hair..it makes her looks so grown up..and what’s a post without a cute picture to go with it!}
Will is 6 months!
Will turned 6 months on Monday! He could probably sit on his own if he would stay still long enough to balance{he is close though}! He is rolling all over the place and is able to move small distances on the floor. He is “talking” and laughing all the time! He loves to grab things and hold on to toys. He is always happy if he has a toy in his hands! He was down to only waking up once a night {which is GREAT for him} but has had a few bad nights recently. He started at his new daycare (the same one as Brooke) and did great with the transition. Here are his new stats:
Height: 26 inches (40%)
Weight: 16lbs5oz (40%)
