Grandparent Camp!

After the boys’ birthday celebration, Jason and I left Brooke and Will in St. Louis to have a fun-filled week with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Stuart. They had a great time. The went to the Zoo, the Magic House, the Butterfly House, swimming, painted pottery, played with Drew, Henry and Tyler and had lots of good grandma and grandpa time! They had so much fun they didn’t take too many pictures, but here are a few.

Jason and I enjoyed our kid free week (we didn’t do anything exciting, just worked…) Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a great week!

Grandma’s Retirement Lunch

We were all happy to be able to go to Stanberry to help Grandma Nickell celebrate her retirement from teaching. We enjoyed a very nice lunch and some good grandparent time! Congrats Grandma…enjoy your new free time!

Moo Grandpa

Will has a new name for Grandpa Nickell….Moo Grandpa! I think it started sometime after our last visit to Stanberry. He  got to ride the Ranger that day to go see the cows and Grandpa Nickell likes to give him updates on the new calves being born, including sending pictures that we show him on the computer.

So, he has learned pretty quickly to associate Grandpa with cows. He also is talking a lot but there are some words he won’t say. One of them is ‘cow’…he insists on saying MOO whenever referring to a cow. So it just makes sense that the Grandpa that is associated with cows would be “moo-ampa” [I really need to get a video of him saying it!]

Quick Trip

We made a quick trip to Stanberry on Sunday to visit Grandma and Grandpa Nickell and Great Grandma Boyer. The kids loved visiting with everyone! [side note: these are the only pics I’ve taken but Brooke got bangs cut this weekend too, she’s very proud of them!]

Fun with Grandparents.

Dollhouse

ImageImageGrandpa Stuart made Brooke a dollhouse for her birthday. She got to see the dollhouse while it was being built as well as pictures of the whole process. Brooke loves her new dollhouse! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma (for helping Grandpa with the decorating and furnishing)!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Grandma Barb and Grandpa Stuart came to visit last weekend. We had a fun weekend of playing around the house and celebrating Halloween! Brooke loved carving the pumpkin with Grandpa!

Week at Grandma and Grandpa’s house

2 weeks ago, Brooke got to spend the week at Grandma and Grandpa Nickell’s house because her daycare was closed for the week. They had so much fun playing they didn’t take very many pictures! She did great and had fun riding the ranger and seeing the cows, flying her kite, swimming and helping Grandma with her classroom. She also had fun spending time with Great Grandma Boyer. Our house was very quiet without her, so we were happy to get her home, but were grateful that she had such a fun time with her grandparents!

Moved!

We are moved in, sort of settled and finally have internet access! Grandma Barb and Grandpa Stuart came to help us get moved in and it was great to have them around and have some extra help! Here are a few pictures from their visit.
