Ok to start this blog, a joke from my Molecules, Cells and Diseases lecture..:
A biochemist walks into a bar and asks for a pint of Adenosine Triphosphate
‘How much will that be?’ he asks
Barman replies ‘that’ll be 80p’ hahahah hehehe getit? gettit? getttitttttt???? You have to be supercool to get that (clue: ATP)
University has been great, met lots of cool new people and made friends but being away from the people I love has made me realise how lucky i am, no seriously, im being serious man – im too lucky.
Freshers fortnight finished with fabulous Freshers Review where us lowly freshers were graced with the godly presence of adam kay (london underground song) seriously he’s hilarious have a listen to some songs by clicking on here and taking a listen to the songs at the bottom of the page. Ummm wat else – ohhhh yeah my fellow geordie medics broke my heart
‘HOW?’ i hear you all screaming in anticipation… well it goes a little something like this…
Standing in a queue for the mums and dads night (by the way my mums and dads are way too cool for school – IM SOOOO LUCKY) i hear the geordie accent radiating from the group infront of me, and off course i get excited and sooooo excitedly i jump towards them and shout ‘GEORDIES’ and they are like yeah what are you? (as if that wasnt bad enuf … ) then im like geordie why aye man, and then they are like ‘really? u sound welsh’
ouccccch my own ppl didnt recognise me. watta blow
its ok though, because now we have all joined forces in order to create the king of all societies – THE GEORDIE SOCIETY!
what other stories do i have for you lucky people? ohhh yes the tale of the second night in my pembridge room, began with me hitting the hay late after a very tiring boat party dressed up as a Pirate of the Caribbean. So hmmmm all i remember is getting into bed, and the next thing i remember is waking up in the cold to the slamming of my door. I had sleep walked out my room and locked myself out. Really. the second night. I locked myself out. Urghhhhhh. So as i regained my senses i realised id have to get the key from someone, so i went downstairs to find someone helpful and passed a clock on the way telling me it was 5am. FIVE AM, where am i sposed to get someone to help at that hour??? I chatted to the security guard, who chuckled to himself on hearing my situation and he informed me that the earliest i could wake up the warden was 8am. Soooo on my second night, I ended up sleeping half the night in the TV room. Atleast i can laugh about it now.
Ummm what other tales of woe and misfortune do i have? NOT MANY MORE yay cos i had a brilliant time at freshers, so much fun – a brilliant initiation into the whole medschool social thing – drinking basically, drinking a lot. Im gonna leave it there cos i need a shower (pooooeeeyyyyyy im stinking up the room) and im gonna catch up on some desperately needed sleep (im falling asleep in most of my lectures and while its amusing for my friends, its bad for my desperately lacking education).
Bye my little loveeeelies, ill try and keep in touch more
