Two months too fast!

Our sweet little guy is already 2 and half months old. How does that happen? Time seems to go by so quickly. We love our baby Dallin so much. He is such a wonderful, fun, and smiley baby. At two months he is sleeping one long 6-8 hour stretch. He is very good at telling us stories. He knows his name, or at least we think he does because if you say it he'll turn to you. He is trying very hard to be a thumb sucker. We are trying very hard to keep him from being a thumb sucker. And most fun -- he smiles all day long!

He's here!!!!!

We are so excited to share that our fifth baby, our sweet little (or not so little) baby boy is here. Dallin Thomas Aldridge decided to come on Pioneer Day, July 24th at 1:36 p.m. He weighed in at 9 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. He has beautiful brown eyes and light brown hair. He has brought so much joy and happiness to our family. It's amazing how much our hearts can grow with the birth of a new family member. We love him and the girls adore him!!! Even sweet Maddie is really very gentle with him. He is heald in someone's arms a lot, which is good because he actually doesn't like to be put down. It's a good thing love can't spoil a child.

It's Official! We're having a...

Boy!!! A few weeks ago during my routine check-up my doctor was dying to know what we're having and asked if she could take a quick peak. She got a realy good shot but wouldn't say for 100%. However, during my ultrasound our little guy wasn't shy at all and now we know for sure. I think I'm still a little shocked. And for some really weird reason I can't think of a name. You would think we'd have one already picked out but we don't. Good thing we still have some time.

Maddie likes cake!

Piano Lessons for ME!

I'm so excited! On Wednesday I took my first piano lesson. I've been self-taught for years and have never gotten very far. So it's been something that I've been wanting to do forever and I'm so happy that now I can. I love every part of being a stay at home mom but lately I've wanted to do a little something for me, something for my progression. And this seemed like the perfect fit. My amazingly talented sister-in-law Natty is teaching me and that just doubles the perfectness. I really love that we're going to be able to spend this time together. So, thank you Brandon for watching the girls during my lesson and thank you Natty for teaching me your talent.

Maddie's Announcement...

That's right. We are expecting our fifth baby and Maddie is going to be a big sister! This little one is due August 2nd and we couldn't be more happy! We had a blast announcing this pregnancy to our family at a birthday celebration for Brandon. I made this shirt for her but put a sweater over it when we went to the party. Then right before we sang happy birthday I took the sweater off. It was really fun to see everyone's reaction. Of course we told our kids right before we sang so they would still know first but not have enough time to tell everyone before they saw her shirt. It was a really fun night, but more than that we are just thrilled to be having another baby!!!

Sleeping Beauty

One of my favorite times of the day is nap time. Yes, because it's quiet but also because I can sneak in and watch my sweet little babies sleeping like angels. I love how peaceful they look! But a couple of weeks ago I went in to check on Maddie and found her crib EMPTY! I was panicked for one quick second until I noticed her closet door was cracked open and inside I found my sweet sleeping beauty. She had climbed out of her crib, taken off her pants, removed the tag from the new pair she wanted to wear and then fallen asleep in her closet. She's so adorable and -- so out of her crib. Brandon took it down and she now sleeps in her toddler bed.
