I'm so glad you're interested in joining me on ZOOM!! 

Tuesday Dec.9, '25 from 6-8pm ET. 

During this 2 hour Watercolour Workshop we'll paint your favourite letter and surround it with lovely simple flowers. The lesson is all about COLOUR and DESIGN. You'll choose a palette of selected colours, that suits you, and then place pretty flowers or holly around the edges. It makes for a lovely composition with a personal touch. 

 

This artwork makes a great gift! It can also be turned into a card for someone special this holiday season. (Or just keep it for yourself!)

 

I will share my screen with you so you can paint-a-long as we create our watercolour paintings. My Zoom set up makes it easy for you to watch me painting on your computer or iPad screen. (iPhone viewing is not recommended since the screen is too small).

I will be using Fluid Brand Paper. Feel free to use the paper you are familiar with. This painting works with Hot or Cold Pressed Paper. The Fluid brand is an excellent affordable paper. 

Paper Size - I'll be using a 9x12" block. 

I think you'll want your painting to be at least 5x7".

Artist Quality Winsor & Newton Watercolour Paints

squeezed out the night before. 

(If you are on a budget, Cotman brand is good).

 

Cad. Yellow Light/Pale

Permanent Rose (or Aliz. Crimson)

Cerulean Blue

Ultramarine Blue

Optional: Opera Pink and any fun bright colours you have!

BRUSHES

Use the brushes you are familiar with.

I will use a brush size 6. My brand is Princeton VelvetTouch Long Round available at Above Ground Arts on McCaul St. in Toronto.

This "little gateway" was painted on location when a group of friends and I went out to one of my favourite parks. The simple 3 logs that make up an entrance are so beautiful. There is just something gentle about it's construction. Once I drew it I, of course, added lots (and lots) of colour.

(Closer up is best). Let me know the eye colour and if you want a collar and tag added to the Head and Shoulders painting. 

The Watercolour Dog Portraits are painted on paper, professionally adhered to a board. You will have a few choices for your background colour which you'll see around the edges of your painting.

They are READY TO HANG! Wire and hooks are on the back so, all you need is a nail and a wall. ; )

 

Finished Painting - 10x10" board. The painting is 8x8" and the border is 1"around. The board will sit out approximately 1" out from your wall.

Finished 3-4 weeks from confirmed commission start date.

In this 2.5 hour Zoom Class we will paint TWO paintings. They are each 5x7". The two watercolour bird paintings will compliment each other nicely. The male and female cardinals look at each other as they sit on branches that bend towards each other. 

You have the option of adding WHITE GOUACHE for snowflakes. (Chinese white or a white gel pen works too). I don't recommend Acrylic white paint. You will be emailed the necessary photos and handout to work from once you've purchased the Zoom class.
