It was NOT MY five year old who took scissors to his new hair cut.








It is NOT MY Little Stray who knows
how to climb up the bunk bed ladder,
he is barely one year of age.







It is NOT ME who allows her one year old to run wild out side with only a diaper on, he may be the third child, but I AM NOT so tired that I would allow this to happen, I would run up two flights of stairs immediately to retrieve him clean dry clothes (only to have him get them wet and dirty within five minutes).


It is NOT ME that is so excited that VBS starts this week, can not wait to see who and how many I will have this year.

It is NOT ME that is so thrilled to be going to the beach in three days, right after VBS.

Happy Father's Day to Computer Geek!

Thank you for working so hard to provide for our family and allowing me to stay home and take care of them. Even though we may tease you about how we make you crazy, we know you would not trade us for anything. Daddy to all boys, you better polish up those running shoes and athletic abilities, because you are already outnumbered! We love you!

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY T-MONSTER!

It is hard to believe that 5 years ago today, we picked you up at the doctor's office. You were so small at just 6 pounds 14 ounces at 10 days old. The first newborn I had ever taken care of. We had just met you outside in the lobby for your appointment, so I could not answer any of the doctor's questions about you eating and pooping habits. We had NOTHING at home for a newborn. Luckily you Granddaddy was in town and he knew you might be coming, we were told on Saturday about you and this was a Monday. Because we had had other placements not work out we had bought nothing ahead of time. I called Granddaddy just as soon as we were out of the doctor's office, then I had to go back to work to wrap up lose ends, now that I would be taking leave to take care of you. I guy at work said "wow congratulations, I did not know you were expecting?" . I was like well I know I am overweight, but please!! I was so thrilled, when we got into foster/adopting I was expecting a preschooler or toddler, never dreamed of a newborn, but here you were. I had been praying for many months that God would protect you and make you resilient, against whatever the issues were in your birth family. Then I met up with your daddy again, he was at the doctor's office too, and we went to Tar*et and S*m's (and for some reason the book store) to get things we needed for you, before we even headed home. Before we arrived home Granddaddy ran into us at S*m's and saw you for the first time in the parking lot. He had left a big pile of things for you on our front porch, a pack-n-play (which you slept in for you first 3 months) a swing, lots of clothes and toys, such a blessing. Some of our good friends came over and later Granddaddy and his new wife (married the day after you were born), and we had steak (we did not you). What a day!

Now here you are 5 years old, all ours and a big boy graduate of preschool. We love you and are so glad that God choose us to be your parents and make us family.

The Party!

OK so it started out as a small affair where we were just going to invite 5 friends (since he was turning 5) to the mall to do the Jumpy thing and have cake. Well T-Monster decided that he wanted to have a pool party instead. I forgot to think about that I would have to wear a bathing suit in front of my friends. Oh well, it was lots of fun and I think T really enjoyed it, he has been on cloud nine ever since. He received several star was toys, sheet set and throw, now we just have to get the bunk beds ordered.

Heely wearing, Star Wars loving, girl magnet, full of energy, sweet cuddlier, make sure you have underwear before going out, picky eater, excellent big brother, friend to all, never met a stranger, swimming with no floaters, riding with no training wheels (since before you turned four, actually) Speed Demon on the go-kart, unbearable bed time routine, one tooth missing, big vocabulary, question asking, Kindergarten going big boy. How quite life would be with out you. We love you and can not believe you have gotten so big, where does time go.
