Welcome to our journey as a family, who have no biological relation to each other, but who seek to follow God's will together.

When the Weather outside is frightful....

ImageYou do art activities at the table.

Image You use spatulas to scoop up snow off the porch,

Imageto put into the sink to play with.

Image
You brave the outdoors to do some sledding,

Image some enjoying it more than others.
Image Ah that's better!!

When faced with spending a second night, in the house without electricity, we chose to go to the local hotel, and brave the snow with a heated pool and hot tub.
Image
When it started it was pretty, notice the bushes around the mailbox,

Image when it was almost done it was the most snow we have had in 10 years. Too bad it was not four days later so we could have a white Christmas. We were just over 24 hours without power, not to bad. Now we get to see how long it takes to get all the down trees out of the roads and how long our blanket of white will stay. How was your first snow?

Stealing the Show!

Image
Last Sunday was Chunk-A first preschool choir show. He did awesome!! He was the only one who participated the entire time and sang all the words. Now granted you could not make out all the words he was singing, but it was from the heart for sure.

Image He played the bell.

Image He played the drum.

Image He played the sand blocks.

Image He did all the hand motions.

Image He was a regular cute-t patootie. Everyone has commented on how well he did. Most of the children in the choir are a full year older than him, but he out shined them all. I was one proud mommy. You can thank his most talented older brother for all the pictures, (I had to crop the little girl's head in front of us out of most of them) but thanks to one great camera, they all came out good.
The little girl sitting to his right was adopted from China last year, and left the day after this performance to go pick up her new sister in China with her parents. We are becoming a regular multicultural church. Special prayers for them and their journey these next two weeks.

I may have to change the name of my Blog!

Image
Just when we were almost done with DSS for good, we get a call. Not just any call, but a call to let us know that T-Monster's birth mom just had a baby girl, and she needed a home. How could we say no. So here I go again down the path of sleepless night and tiring days. I just sold all of my infant stuff not 6 months ago, swearing I was never doing another newborn, Ahem. Well God's plan is bigger than mine and while for now she is a foster placement, we will know we gave T-Monster's bio-baby sister a good first start to life. So for the blog she will become The Princess, she was born on 11-15, and so far she is doing great.
